I want to join either Weight Watchers or Slimming World. Not sure what the difference is. Does anyone have any personal experience, good or bad?

Really depends. If your big on carbs and not so much on meat I'd go with slimming world as you can eat as much potato and pasta as you please. If your not a massive eater and not a big carb eater go with ww as carbs are really high points. That's my own personal over view of them anyway although I know slimming world has changed since I last went. Xx

I lost 2 1/2 stone on ww then got pregnant but I'm starting again after. I like the flexibility you can eat what you want as long as you point and track it. my sister has lost 3 /1/2 stone and she eats crap like rustlers etc she has just changed portions and snacks etc x

I've tried both and i prefer slimming word :flower:

Done both and lost on both but much prefer SW. You can have a much lean meat, eggs, veg, fruit and pasta and potatoes if you follow extra easy but there's still Green and Red if you want to cut back on the carbs or mix it up. You also get a measures allowance of diary products and another of fibre, eg cereal, brown bread.

ive done both, lost on both but SW is way better imo. i was never hungry on it & it encourages you to cook proper meals. on WW i found myself just eating the ready meals as i knew how many points it had!

Slimming World for sure- I can still eat curries, burger and chips, pork chops and baked potato etc. My weight loses aren't huge (usually 1/2 lb a week) but i'm not exactly "big" anymore- when I first joined I weighed in at 15 stone and was loosing 2/3 lbs a week on average, if I tried really hard and had no syns then it would 4/5- the most I have lost is 7lbs but that was when I was ill!

Im down to nine stone now and have more or less stayed here since the girls turned one. So it defiantly is easy to stick to!

I suggest having a look on their website and seeing what you can eat- hundreds of recipies here too: www.slimmingeats.com

I'v also done both and lost on both - still doing SW now

Iv only done ww and have lost weight on it a few times, just started it again today, I do like it and get in with it, you really can eat whatever you want as long as you sort out your portions and most fruit and veg are free so you can fill up on them.

To be honest I'm seriously thinking of trying slimming world though, on ww im making different things for everyone for every meal, I imagine on sw as you have to cook properly the whole family would be healthier. It's just trying to figure out if I have the time to be on the kitchen constantly!

Slimming World.
I have lost 1st 4lb in 10 weeks so far.
I like it cos I can cook a massive syn free meal for the whole family. (chiken curry, and cottage pie are faves in this house!)
