Hi everyone,
Let me introduce myself, I am new to this site (hence the reason I don't know any of the acronyms), but I am not new to trying to conceive (TTC?). My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 2 years now, and are currently using clomid to help us conceive (we have also tried a IUI, which failed, and are on a wait list for funded IVF, as Ontario has started funding IVF, but the wait list is over a year long).
The reason I am posting on this site is, my period is normally REALLY heavy with large clots, and at least 4 days long, with the last day being light. However this last period was only 2 days and light with only one small clot. As part of our Clomid treatments I got an ultrasound on day 14 of my cycle, which showed good follicles, but also one follicle that was very large, the tech told me that it was a left over from my last cycle, that I could still conceive. I made the assumption that if I didn't conceive this month that my period would be very heavy as normal if not more than usual.
I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. But I have been nauseous the last few days, and because of that i can't keep the light period out of my mind.
I am looking for your opinions, should I call my doctor and get a blood test? Was I wrong in thinking that my period was going to be heavier due to the large follicle? Do you think I am pregnant? What would you do?
