Hi ladies! I had laparoscopy surgery done at the very beginning of May to remove some ovarian adhesions. Everything was cleaned up, and we were told we were good to go! (by the way, I have very normal cycles) I had a very heavy abnormal period 4 weeks after surgery, and now I'm on cycle day 25 and I haven't even ovulated! I'm now almost 9 weeks post surgery, so I'm getting concerned. Anybody else have weird cycles after lap??

Sorry hun, didn't want to read and run... My cycle was fine after lap but ive read that some people have a heavy period the cycle after... I did ovulate ontime though.. Sorry, not much help

Despite bleeding after the Lap - I O'd about two weeks later - from the ovary that was not operated on. I was surprised!
They did very little clean up - only removed half of one ovary. I was told the locations were to dangerous (bowels, uterous etc).
Maybe alot of work during your lap will cause delay. Have you had a test to make sure not pregnant?

(PS love your pup!)

my periods been irregular ever since i did my lap. And now i've been bleeding since 2/8 till now.

Any suggestion?

I had a lap done in November to check for infection and remove my appendix (no idea why because my appendix was fine but they insisted, said they might as well while in there ) followed by a 43 day cycle then a 36 day cycle im now irregular but more normal ranging from 26-31 days
