This may be a silly question!!?!?!?! (I know.... what's new there where I'm concerned!!!

Is it possible to get a trapped nerve in your tummy/chest area?!
Let me try and explain...
Four times this afternoon & evening, I've had this sudden sharp pain just below my ribs on the right side, but deeper inside, kind of where I'd expect my stomach to be maybe? Lasts for about 10 seconds, and takes my breath away and I can't move! The only way I can really describe the pain is just like when you get a trapped nerve in your neck/back... if that makes sense?
But now I just feel bruised in that general area?
I've taken an ibuprofen (a strong one that the GP gave me the other week when my hips were playing up!) and I think it's taken the edge off slightly!
Any ideas what it might be?
