Hi ladies,
So I did my first IUI on Sunday after triggering Friday night. This morning I woke up spotting (brown blood - sorry if TMI!) with bad cramps. This is always how my period starts. I *hoped* that since I was doing injectibles (gonal-f, cetrotide and ovidrel) that maybe... JUST MAYBE... more time might elapse between ovulation and my :witch: arriving.

This definitely feels like my AF is coming... and I only had the IUI 5 days ago!

My RE says I don't have a luteal phase defect, but something weird is going on.

I went to the RE's office this morning and had blood and ultrasound, and they gave me some words of encouragement, but the nurse said, If your period is going to come, it will come.

How can any embryos ever implant if I lose my lining before they even get there??

Anyone else have this issue... or have any suggestions??

PS - I totally broke down at the clinic this morning, I must have looked insane:wacko:

Oh hunny, big hugs xx
I cant offer any advise about ET but wanted to say not to worry about breaking down at the clinic, im sure that they all realise how stressfull the whole ttc things is xx

Thanks fluffystar... I've been going to the clinic since the fall and have never seen anyone look anything besides chipper or at worst, totally neutral. No one ever seems upset!

When I came into the waiting room, everyone looked very... interested. Weird.:haha:

Dont lose hope yet pet :hugs:

I know with iui and ivf bleeding can happen during the 2WW. All the treatment/drugs on run up make the lining extra plump and squishy and because of this some can come away. My clinic warned me of that and even had it in writing. Its a full blown AF that can be worrying. Spotting can be common, could maybe be implantation even.

I was convinced my period was going to arrive, had cramps and everything. Then I got a BFP, so remember it aint over to the fat lady sings!! As for breaking down dont you give that a second thought. They know how hard it is. Big hugs :hugs:

Congrats on your BFP jojoD!! How exciting.:happydance:

Most of the spotting went away after I started taking the progesterone they gave me... interesting... I feel a bit better and am hoping I get the same result you did!!

That's great! I'm keeping everything crossed for you :hugs:
