My lo is hyper mobile ( he is worst in ankles and knees) he had physio to helps him walk and now is pretty much a normal walking toddler though sometimes he gets a bit bendy or has to rest if his joints are sore.
He didn't qualify for NHS shoes but he does require specialist shoes to make him most comfortable. I pay 40-50 a pair which is near enough same as clarks but with a dad at 6 ft 8 his feet grow so blooming quick last pair lasted 6 weeks
He loves being outdoors and I'm fine with this but he also loves the woods, mud and puddles like any other child. He can not wear Wellington boots. I've tried 3 pairs ranging from £5-£20 and he seems to hate them with a passion. If they are too big he slops about and the fall off, the right size I struggle to get on him then he refuses to walk. The physio and specialist shoe shop we attend recommended boots for him but he won't wear them either, some how he needs the shoe to allow the ankle to bend all be it too much weird one
At ideas at all? I saw these splats boots that looked good but are for o,der children wouldn't fit him
. I remember seeing some weird neoprene topped rubber shoe bit willies but never seen them since.
I'm sceptical to just buy him cheap shoes for the woods etc incase they hurt him and his feet will still get wet anyway. I saw these good shoe covers in America that are like waterproof socks to go over the shoe, can we get them? No!!
I've no idea what to try now, With the cost of his shoes then welling tons on top it will be so expensive every few weeks
