So, as you all know I was in prodomal labor or early labor or prelabor, whatever you wanna call it lol, since last week. At 38 weeks I had pink in my mucus plug and some period type cramps but nothing came of it. I had contractions for a whole week and I really thought it wouldn't result into anything whatsoever. I honestly thought I was gonna have the same thing happen to me that happened with my son, where I had all the symptoms/signs pointing to labor and yet I ended up having to be induced in the end. Well, fast forward to Friday morning. I started getting more and more contractions but I noticed the pain had increased so I thought maybe I should start timing them. Whenever I did I noticed a pattern but they still weren't consistent enough to convince me that I was gonna have my baby the very next day! I had contractions all day, into the nighttime. I remember peeing and wiping and seeing the tissue a little pink-tinged. I told my mom and DH and told them I would get things ready soon because I may end up going into L&D that night or the following morning. I knocked out on the couch and I kept waking up because the pain was becoming more and more intense. I remember getting up around 11pm to go upstairs to sleep in my bed and my 1 yr old was feeling sick with a cold so DH stayed in his room with him. Again, I kept waking up in the night on and off because of the pain. I had to pee and I noticed red blood when I wiped. I was so exhausted I didn't even bother to get DH from the baby's room, plus I didn't wanna go in there and wake up the baby. I went back to "sleep" and around 9am I got out of bed and when I used the bathroom again there was soooo much blood and plug. I knew it was getting closer to the time. My mom and DH came with me while my dad stayed home with the kids. The way I am I was cleaning in between the pains because I didn't wanna come home to a dirty house and because my son was still sick I made sure he was okay before I left lol. Anyways, we arrived around 11am I believe and they took me in right away. They told me I was contracting but I didn't really FEEL them, I felt more or less just pressure as she moved down. The doctor checked my cervix and said "well, you're definitely more than 4cm...but I'm gonna have another doctor come in and double-check." So, the other doctor comes in and says "you're 7cm"... I was like "what??"... she said that it can happen when you've had a lot of babies and you could walk around at 7cm that whole time but I told her "that can't be the case with me because at 35 weeks I was checked and I was told I had a soft but closed cervix." So the doctor was like "ohhh, okay so then you've actually dilated that fast!" All everyone kept saying was "you're doing amazing. I can't believe you're already at 7cm and you aren't screaming for an epidural!!" lol. Even in my previous pregnancy I was flipping out because I needed pain relief. My mom kept telling me I could go without an epidural because I was doing so well and I really kept holding off until they checked my cervix again and told me I was 7cm and 75% and told me the only way to speed things up was by breaking my waters. I panicked and got the epidural! lmao. I got the epidural but had a BAD experience with it for the very first time. My left side was way more numb than my right and I got so sick from it. Anyway, I went from 8%cm, 90% effaced, to 10cm and 100% effaced within a few minutes and all I felt was a ton of pressure. I was allowed to see her come out because they gave me a mirror and it was soo amazing. A few pushes and she was out. Baby was great and I was, too. No tears, no cuts, no stitches. :) By the way, I said she was born around 5:30 something but no, she was born at 4:57pm, weighing 7lbs 8oz and 20'' long. It literally took until Saturday morning for me to regain feeling in my left side. I thought I was paralyzed. My kids came to visit me yesterday and they were so excited :) Anyways, I'm gonna go. I just wanted to post this picture because it's one of my many favorite ones of her so far!!

Also, I just wanted to thank you all for being there for me through everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING!! You guys have been the best!! I appreciate it all. <3<3<3 And I'll stick around to see you all have your babies!:happydance:
