So this maybe a stretch but I just need to get this out, thank you for bearing with me. Ok so my story goes like this. I had my last depo shot in July 2014 and now a yr later im still having really erratic and irregular cycles. I got lucky because my period came about two months after the last shot ran out but they have been sporadic its been very annoying. See here is the thing, I was on the depo shot from age 16 or 17 to age 19. At age 19 i got off the depo and switched to bcp and after a mess up with my bcp fell pregnant about 9 months later not quite a full yr. But i didnt have to figure out if my periods were regular because i was on the bcp immediately after getting off depo. There was no ttc at that point so there was no reason not to be. Sorry i got side track, but anyway so far my cycles are super ******** but here goes...
1- dec 23
2- jan 19
3- apr 7 (questionable only a few hrs of actual bleeding but days of brownish sludge following but ill count it)
4- may 1
5- jul 4 (once again questionable only bled for a few hrs but have confirmed o exactly 14 days prior and had 4 days of the brownish sludge afterwards)

I started actually consistently tracking on cd 50 of my 4th cycle and wish to God i had done it earlier and here is why. I have noticed a pattern well it will be better confirmed at the end of this cycle but yet and still there is a pattern, and here goes:

I have a regular cycle followed by an extremely long annovulatory cycle. the longest to date is 78, i previously thought it was 102 because i didn't count the questionable cycle but now i'm thinking it counts. But anyway yeah so like i said a regular cycle or regular for me about 24-29 days followed by an extremely long annovulatory cycle 60-80 days. What im thinking is that my body is close to being completely regulated. During my second cycle I started taking vitex. I took it for about a month and stopped a few days before the start of my 4th cycle. I restarted taking it during the fourth cycle. So what im thinking is happening is that i have a cycle and then my body has the annovulatory cycle for a extended amount of time which is followed by an estrogen bleed the two questionable short periods cycles 3 and 5 which is then followed by a regular ovulatory cycle. Im so thankful i started to finally figured out my pattern. What i noticed is that during the ovulatory cycles, i happen to be taken the vitex and as soon as i stop taking the vitex my cycle then goes back to be annovulatory. This of course is all a theory and i will have to track a few more cycles to know if its correct but one thing is for sure is vitex will be a permenant thing for the whole span of my cycle. Just yesterday i was ready to give up and get on bcp just to get some normalcy and today i think i finally figured it out. What a difference a day makes.:thumbup::thumbup::happydance::happydance::happydance:

I think you're going the right direction. Just in case you can try temping and talking to your Dr about Clomid. Clomid helps you ovulate. It helps your ovaries to mature and push an egg out. :)

I started temping mid cycle last cycle I think that cycle lasted 64days which was a great relief according to ff I ovulated this Friday. My cm confirmed it and so did my cp. I'm not sure I caught the stick bean but k guess will see.
