Well that's my dad's name so I like it, but his name is Raymond. Would you name him Raymond or just Ray? That would be like naming someone Mike, but not Michael, or Matt, but not Matthew, etc.

Short names seem to be in right now. You don't have to go with the long forms. But they are nice as well. Rae is also a nice name for a girl.

My father was Raymond, we named my first son after him, Raynor. So I'm rather partial

My Dad's name is Raymond but the only person who ever called him that was my Nan, everyone else calls him Ray. I have a little girl called Riley Rae who would of been Riley Ray had she been a boy, so I clearly love it x
