just as the title says- when can you use sleeping bags, and what temp do u think it needs to be to use 2.5tog bags? I have just got out my thicker duvet so wasnt sure if I should get my LO in a sleeping bag- he tends to push off and kick off his covers and his chest ends up all exposed ( in vest and baby grow)
he still seems warm when i feel his chest but still!
x

I've got some from mothercare which are 0-6months for babies weighing over 7.7lbs. We've just gone from using a 1 tog with sleepsuit and vest to a 2.5 with just a sleepsuit as ive been cold at night at Abi had really cold feet and felt chilly she's a lot warmer now.

The grobag website says 0-6 months Grobag from 8lb 8oz (4kg).
At the moment we're using a 1 tog with a baby grow underneath, her room tends to stay quite warm though

On my mothercare one is says for a 2.5 tog bag room should be between 10 and 20 degrees. Although her room has never dropped anywhere near 10 degrees. It does get down to 17 degrees at the moment. She has a vest and sleepsuit underneath. Has been using one since 10lb. All they say is that when on the grobag should not go over the head when fastened up. She is 7 months old and the 6 -18 month is still big

There is a chart on this page which is helpful. We bought Kaiden his first sleeping bag yesterday and will use it tonight. I'm excited!

i use a 2.0tog one for my lo n have done since he was 2 weeks old x

Find a sleeping bag that is in LO's age range and when you go to use it for the first time, make sure that LO's head can't squeeze through the neck opening.

my little one was in them from birth, well about a week or so old after we stopped swaddling. you can buy 0-6m. His is just starting to use his 2.5 tog ones again now them weather is getting cooler. If your LO is very young just make sure the neck of them bag isnt loose enough to pull up over the head. X

LO was using them at day 5 - we made sure she can't fall into it. Just get age appropriate ones.

Hazel has been in one since she was about 7 weeks. xx
