Hi ladies, I have 2 DD's already and im niw 25 weeks pregnant with a boy. Both my previous pregnancies I got obestric cholestasis which ended up with me being induced both times at 38 weeks. The mw and hospital are expecting it to show up again and iv just had a blood test earlier today as iv begun itching. My main worry this pregnancy though is whether or not to have a planned c section or natural birth as my second daughter got stuck :-( although she is completely fine I know tthat it could have been different. I now worry as she was only 7lb 5oz that this baby will also get stuck during labour. Does anyone know what the chances are?

I dont want to just jump at the c section knowing that it is an operation and will take longer to recover, but if its whats best for both of us I need to atleast consider it. Also I dont overly want to be panicing my whole labour he is going to get stuck. Thanks for any advice :) xxxx

Hiya, sorry I don't have any advice but I'm in the same position my daughter was shoulder dystocia too at 7lb 3oz and I'm currently 18 weeks and petrified it will happen again.. Consultant has said he will scan at 36 weeks and decide what to do from there, I'm guessing possible induction depending on estimated weight?? Xxx

Hi ladies, I didn't have sd with my ds, but for some reason I was very anxious about it so did a lot of research. From what I've read, the largest causing factor is the narrower size of your pelvis rather than the size of baby. Therefore, if it's happened once it's very likely to happen again. Saying that, I'm not a dr, I'm sure you'll have the opportunity to discuss it at length with a consultant and come to the best decision for you and baby. Best of luck to you x
