what are the chances?

what do u think the chances of me being pregnant this month. this is my first month off the BCP and we have had sex practically everyday, most days more than once, im not getting my hopes up but it is hard not to.

theres usually a 25% chance for healthy couples to conceive each month.
because youve been having regular sex, youre maximising your chances which is good!

I think it's something like 25 % chance...also doing it more than once a day is futile as the sperm doesn't have a chance to replenish itself. "They" recommend every other day (so the reservoir can be filled up) and then every day around the time you ovulate....Hope this helps!

I agree with Minkie! I bd'd every single day up to CD17 and twice on CD15 last month and it didnt work for me.

we're trying every other day from CD7 until CD13 when we will do every day til CD15 then miss a day and CD17 - it's called the Sperm Meets Egg Plan and has a 40% success rate which is higher than the average rate of 20% per healthy couple!

Having said that, my friend told me she and her husband "went at it like rabbits" all month and she caught on the first month coming off bcp. She does have 2 kids already though and I think that once you've had kids/been pregnant previously your body recognises it and is more successful
