What are you getting/ doing for fathers day?

What are your clever lo's organising / buying for fathers day?! X

I'm guessing the same thing we did for mothers day! I'll be cooking dinner for both our fathers

For us fathers/mothers day is still about our parents and not us LOL. Lame! But I usually get OH a little something funny. I got him a bumper sticker that said "I heart Bun" the first year, and a custom golf shirt last year that I designed. Not sure yet about this year though so I'll be stalking for ideas! x

unfortunately my OH says he doesn't 'do' fathers' day. hmmph.

when i discussed it with him before LO was born, i asked what he'd do if she 'made' him a card (i think it'd be mega cute!!) and he said he'd rip it up! what a humbug!! i'm not reallly sure he would, now she's here he has become soooo soft and squishy over her hahaha

so maybe a card but i don't wanna push it.....

Thanks for reminding me! In this month's issue of Mother and Baby (June), p. 129 lists a few ideas --making a mug (thekeepsakeco.co.uk), a foot/hand casting (everlastingcastings.co.uk) and making a cake, etc....so some ideas!

I would probably cook him his favorite dinner and have DD draw on a card for him, but other than that, we will probably do what we did for Mother's day, do something free we are trying to save up money for our dream house atm so I told him on Mother's day that I didn't want anything but my freakin dream house. He cooked me dinner at least

It's LO's first birthday the day after and we're having his party on Father's Day. Plus it's OH's birthday the day after LO's. He's a nightmare to buy for anyway so he'll probably just get a card/chocs on Father's Day and something more special for his birthday!

My husband is in the army so I had a custom set of dog tags made for him. Fathers day is the same week as our anniversary. I had one tag engraved with our names, wedding date/time and a little quote at the bottom. I had the other tag engraved with our sons name, birth date/time, and another little quote at the bottom.

OH collects pocket knives so I'm buying him a replacement for one he lost while I was pregnant and having it engraved with his name and LO's date of birth will probably buy him a card and do her footprint and I'm writing him a love letter to express my thanks for everything.
