It's only going to be me, OH and LO so have decided on a buffet sort of thing. I am going to do prawns, home made sausage rolls, wedges and lots of other picky bits. Then when LO goes to sleep a bit to drink. A one off won't hurt. But I am looking forward to eatng and drinking lots of naughty stuff. And I think OH is picking up a new film aswell for us to watch in evening but not sure what.

Then traditional roast New years day with all the trimmings, sounds yummy I can't wait.

So what is everyone elses plans for food and entertaining thereselves? :coffee:

Its only going to be me, oh, and our 2 little boys so will probably get them their tea sorted at 5 and then bath and bed and then me and oh will eat later and have a few drinks. not sure what to eat yet, maybe seafood stir fry or buffet snack stuff.

How do you make sausage rolls? :D I can't buy them as they have wheat in them, but would love to make some!! xx

We will have soup with Emma at dinner timeon Hogmanay and have bought some party food to eat for late supper when she is in bed. On the 1st we have my Dad round for lunch and are having steak pie, tatties, carrots and turnip and then profiteroles for pudding. Not fans of Hogmanay here either so we don't bother much!

I am making my own sausage rills 2mos. I usually mix my sausage meat with slighly fried onions, sage, salt and pepper. Mix it all together. I buy my pastry all ready done. Just rolled puffed pastry because I don't want to be making pastry this time of year. I roll my pastry out. Put my mix onto the pastry to one farside, then brush egg down on the sides that I want to seal, roll then stick it, then push both ends together, score the pastry brush all over with egg then oven for about 15mins depending on size. But I always judge the time depending on how big the sausage rolls are. They come out perfect and reallt yummy. You can make them any size aswell. I usually make small and large ones as lunch snacks. Ummmm yummy
