What are your plans for Christmas Eve?

Not sure think we might just chill for the day watching Christmassy stuff or go to the mall for a bit with Colin then might go to the inlaws for the evening.

We shall probably have a lie-in, then do our family tradition of buying each other a few little last minute presents . In the afternoon I'll be leading a Christingle service at one church & then a crib service at another (I love doing these, the kids are all SO excited!) then we'll have a takeaway, go to the pub for a while and then to midnight communion

This year will be the start of our Christmas Eve traditions Not sure what we will do yet, but i like the sound of a Christmas walk looking at everyones decorations then getting in our new pjs and watching a Christmas film with a buffet

Christmas Eve is OH's birthday

The previous years it's been a nice breakfast, he opens presents, I shoot off the hairdressers while he plays with his gifts & minds Hallie. When I'm back we go visiting (his mums/nans/my nans) mum is always chocker block on Christmas eve with beauty appointments and shopping but I usually see her when I go the hairdressers about lunch time and we usually end up in franky & bennies having some food.
We then go home give Hallie her stocking while watching a Christmas film & then I basically push her into bed so I can do the exciting 'setting up of presents'.

This year I wanna try arranging a birthday tea for Darren about 5pm and pre book somewhere with him thinking it's just us 3 and have everyone there. Hallie will be at her Dad's though with it being a Saturday so I'll probably ask for her to come back early. My family all go out for a drink so they can have a drink at the meal and then go out with plans being early. Then back home for usual preperations. It was far too busy for cookie & cupcake making last year so me & Hallie will do that the day before this year.
