It's the only name we like, so far. Our other children are: Braxton, Bryce, and Brooke. So, a B name is a must. We can't use:

Brody
Blake
Braden (Brady)
Brock
Blair
Brendan/Brandon
Brent

We love Blaze/Blaise but I've been reading online and a lot of people don't like it. :nope: I guess that shouldn't matter. We have considered Benjamin, but it seems a little common for me.

We like either Blaise/Blaze Griffin or Blaise/Blaze Elliot

I like Blaze but its not a very professional name for when they are an adult

what about:

Bailey
Baylor
Brett
Benson
Bevan
Bentley
Barrett
Bower
Bruno
Becker

I'm not usually one for quirky names but I like Blaze! I would say to use the z spelling as Blaise looks more girly to me.

Griffin is a nice middle name x

Also, I've just learned "blaze" is a slang term for smoking pot! Ugh! I'm so bummed. :(

I like Benson but my 2nd son is Brycen "Bryce." It almost rhymes. Becker I like, but I would not want him called "Beck."

Hmm perhaps not so good then!

If you like Benjamin but not sure if it's too 'normal' then what about Bennett?

I prefer the Blaze spelling. I agree with what someone else said about it not sounding like a very professional name for the future. If you love it you should definitely use it but i much prefer Benjamin.

I'm not keen on blaze to be honest - and the pot smoking association would put me off...

Other b names...
Benedict
Barney
Brad/Bradley
Bernado/Bernie
Beltran
Bosco

Blaise is ok for a girl but Blaze is better spelling for a boy, however the pot reference would totally put me off.

Braxton, Bryce, Brooke and...
Brett
Bentley
Bryant
Benson
...All sound good together IMO.

LOVE Elliot as a middle name!

2 my OH like was

Balthazar
and
Bartholomew

both nickname to Bart

personally im not keen. blaze is also a word used for the white marking running down the middle of a horses face so for that reason it really puts me off x

I like Blaze, it an unusual name but not too unusual. I think the spelling Blaise is better suited to a girl IMO xx

We have totally scratched Blaise/Blaze off our list...thanks to potheads. We really loved the name. We are now choosing between:

Benjamin Elliot or Benjamin Luke
Brant Griffin
Blaine Griffin

We are leaning toward Ben though.

I really like the name but just wanted to say I've seen it spelled Blaize and I think it's my favorite spelling. Blaze makes it easier to associate to other meanings as mentionned and Blaise does seem maybe better suited for a girl...But not by much. I wouldn't worry about the pot reference, I think most people wouldn't go to that association first... And really by the time your kid grows up there will probably be a completely different set of slang words... Go for it!

LOVE Blaise! Haven't seen it as Blaze before.
