And Why?

Inspired By Katieandbump's thread about forumla,

i thought it would be nice too see what bottles everyone uses in a poll,
and any good/bad points about them

i Use MAM Bottle :)
Because i like the teet shape..

You?

I use tommee tippee closer to nature ones. I like them  I like that they have a little vent thing to let the air through the milk so Edward gets less wind, and they're a really good shape to hold comfortably.

I don't like the fact that some of them don't have the dark markers on them, and the markers are clear so really hard to see! xx

I love the Mam bottles!Great design, had no issues with colic as the air escapes via the bottom vent, teats are a great shape. The down side is that they do come in a few bits to wash and sterilise but never really bothered us to much!x

tomee tippee, those were on offer and we brought tommee tippee everything!

I use Evenflo Classics. We did use Playtex Advantage when he was younger to prevent tummy problems because it cut down on the air intake.

I use mam, I started with avent but Jacob had such bad colic that I switched to nuk on the MW's recommendation but these still didn't help so I switched to mam and haven't looked back, jacob will also only take the mam dummies too. The extra bits to wash etc don't really bother me either.

Dr Browns, all the way

We tried TT CTN, they gave my LO awful wind. We tried BreastFlow (when I was still trying to BF her too), they didn't help with her wind, and she took *ages* to get the milk, even on the faster teats.

Moved to Dr Browns, and never looked back. Her wind got so much better, she was like a different baby.

A friend lent me a Mam Ultivent to try not long ago (I was looking around for 9oz bottles in case my LO moves up another ounce). She took one bottle fine, then refused it from that point on. Absolutely hated it  I'm so glad I got a loan of one, rather than just buying them!

Dr. Brown r amazing. Just started using them recently (I didnt where to find them here). My Baby is less windy & is not throwing up any more. I was using TT CTN anti colic since he was born, but didnt really help with his wind & reflux.

I use ones from poundland!! They are disney wideneck ones and only ones lo takes from :) Ive tried avent and tt ctn and he refused them!! Every lo to their own lol xxx

Exact same reasons we use Dr Browns  and I found that the TT CTN teats would colapse in on themselves, was a right pain x

We love Dr Browns! Worth every penny. Discovered them at about 11 weeks and wished we had found them before!

Yes lots to clean but a very happy baby!

Tommee Tipee: They were on offer, Chloe took to them and we got some given too :)

I use TT closer to nature i like them because the teet is very soft and natural easy for LO to suck. Things that annoy me is clear writing on the bottle and the way the bottles curve you get some milk laying that you cant actually get into the teet without holding the bottle literally vertical and squashing babies nose  iv also heard of ppl saying the tt bottles are bad for leaking but iv never had that issue. The reason i went for TT is because i was planning on bf and bottle feedin so the closer to nature was meant to be the thing for that xx

We use Mothercare wideneck bottles with Avent teats and they are fab.. Used MAM and TT before that but she seems to prefer these

Anything shaped like avent, dr browns , boots etc will not work for Alex. She refuses them point blank.

We have to use NUK as they are so different to 'normal' shaped teats.

Also theres a new range called Born Free, which has different shaped teats, which I suspect Alex will like as they are shaped the same as the disposable cow and gate teats you get in hosptal.

I used Dr Browns because the MW suggested them as they are supposed to reduce wind/colic. We like them even though theyre a fiddle to wash!
