What Bottles Do You Use?

I'm still not too sure what to get. I might still try the AVENT, but it's hard to say. The drop ins are okay, but I can't really make up a bunch of bottles beforehand as it's hard to warm them up.

Decisions, decisions...

I've never seen Tommy Tippy in Canadian stores. Not sure about Mams either.

I used to use the Playtex drop ins bottles, then I confused my poor little guy with using other bottles with normal nipples. So I then went to Playtex airvent...do not get as they leak from the bottom.

Since then, I've been using normal Gerber bottles and Nubs but find that they don't help with the gas/burp situation.

Going to try him on Avent as I bought one yesterday to try it out.

lol, isnt it funny how we try so many bottles? By the time we figure out what works they are too old for bottles.

:rofl::rofl:

I know! :dohh:

The drop in playtex ones were great so I bought more and more. Oh, yeah, I then changed him to something else because he was burping after every ounce with the drop ins so I figured they were giving him more air bubbles.

So then I tried Playtex air vent bottles, with a totally different nipple than the drop in bottles. The first one worked well, then, lo and behold, I buy more and find they leak at the bottom.

Tried him on another kind, and bought more. Now find they don't help with gas/burps.

UGH!

Well, I went with the AVENT ones. So far, not so bad! :happydance:

She took them no problem, and with not using the drop ins I can see that even though I'm feeding her 6oz of formula, she's only taking in about 5oz or so... which is a bit closer to her age range I think. So it's made me feel better all around.

I bought the AVENT Express II microwave steam sterlizer, which makes life so much easier as well. It's SO nice to be able to make up 16 hours or so of formula and have it in the fridge. Much easier at 4am!

hmm weird, mine dont leak at all? I dont leave milk in them, I only put milk in as I need them and they have to be completely dried off otherwise they wont seal...... what I found anyways.

I hated the drop-ins, at first it was ok, but I always broke the bag getting the air out.

I use tommee tippee ctn bottles. works well for me and callum loves them!! xx

I use Playtex drop ins, because I got them for free lol! I only use bottles once in a while if I have some expressed milk and hubby or someone else wants to feed him.

As for warming up, I just let the bottle sit in a cup or bowl of hot tap water. You don't need to keep it under the tap continuously. If the water in the bowl goes cool before the milk is warm, replace the water as needed with more hot. It doesn't take very long to heat up this way.

I also use the Tommee Tippee ctn ones with no bother xxxx
