Need too buy nappies this weekend too pack in my hospital bag.. Which Nappies do you think I should pack? Pampers? Huggies? other brands? really dont want a sore babys bottom before we leave the hospital. I'm having a Csection so will be there for a few days so would prefer too use disposables for the duration of the stay.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated a I really can not remember what Brand I used for daughter 4 years ago..

Thankyou

i have brought pampers as i feel there best for baby when there newborn but its a personal choice xxxx

I've bought pampers but I've stocked up for the first few months with a mixture of pampers and asda's 'little angels'. I've got friends who use then and said that they are just as good and they have won loads of awards. I have been buying whatever's been on offer when I've been doing the weekly shops.

This is my first so I have no proper experience but I read a forum on here a while ago that was saying Aldi nappies are as good as pampers so I'm going to have a go with those as they're a lot cheaper. I think I'll probably end up trying a few brands to find the ones to suit my LO. Might be worth trying the supermarket home brands as they are much cheaper.

must admit the pampers nappies are not too expensive for the lower weights so i have stocked well up . Just hope i dont have a porker lol xx

Pampers..were by far the best with both my boys xxx

Iv bought pampers and asdas little angels as alot of my friends with kids rave about them

I'v got pampers size 1 to start off with just because thats what i used when ds was first born.
They never leaked and he never had nappy rash so iv gone with them again.
When bubs gets into size 2 i'l start using the kiddicare just4bums ones as its more convenient for me to get them either from the store or delivered (they only start at size 2 and from past experience theyr too big for a 6-7lb baby!)

It really is personal choice but the one thing i would stay away from is Huggies, purely because they are discontinued in the uk so shops are just selling off what they have left and if baby (and you) gets used to them you might have an issue when you cant get hold of them anymore
Xx

Gunna go against the grain :

I hated pampers, my son was a chubby baby and they never fit right , and he always had rashes, and after seeing a couple babies with chemical burns from pampers diapers I'm not gunna risk it .

We will use Huggies or the Costco brand they make until LO is big enough for the cloth

Pampers Newborn is what I'm taking but mainly because I was already bought them. I liked them last time. Very good for newborn breastfeeding poo! I think we then moved on to the baby dry. I think the samples in the hospital tend to be pampers (ours are anyway).

i have got pampers for the hospital bag, but for at home ive got a mixture of pampers and the aldi nappies, as they have rated highly!

I don't rate pampers. Asdas little angels are brilliant as are all shop own brands. Don't bother being drawn into the 'pampers are the best brand' propaganda.

I hated Pampers and wouldn't use them if you paid me now. They gave my LO a very sore looking bum, which cleared up within days in Huggies (like someone said, sadly they've been discontinued). I bought a few packs huggies newborn when they were still available and will use cloth as soon as those first meconium nappies are over and done with.
Btw, at night we now use Sainsburys Eco Disposables which have been great!

I've heard good reports of the ASDA and Aldi nappies. Unfortunately neither are local to me.

Chlorine free disposables until we get home and then cloth. Not a fan of chemicals surrounding my baby's private parts!

As a FTM I'm not too sure about which brands are the best, but my midwife did say that any with a 'wetness' indicator are really good. She said sometimes its hard to tell if baby has peed or not (I'm assuming when there's a number 2 in there!) and it's important to know that the kidneys are functioning properly. So the ones that help you judge that are useful :)

I absolutely LOVE aldi's mamia nappies. I can not recommend them enough but my mum wanted the free boots bag and to buy it, I had to purchase a pack of pampers so I got a small pack and will pack them in the hospital bag xx

Think Im going too buy some pampers in size 1 for the hospital bag and then buy either Aldi/Asda brand. thanks for the input ladies

I've always used pampers. Well, for my son - not on me personally. We tried huggies but they gave him a rash and the little angels ones leaked. I wouldn't stock up on too many in case what you buy doesn't agree with baby
