As the title says lol. I'm using johnsons ones right now but they're making my skin break out so I'm looking for recommendations for other types

I tried a few diff brands but my favorite were the Avent ones, they were soft, not very noticeable under my shirt and absorbent. I got some samples when I ordered some cloth diapers of cloth ones and I wish I knew about them when Hayden was younger, after my supply regulated I no longer needed them, but they were great, so comfy and soft. If I were to have any more kids I would order more of those

The Tommee Tippee ones have always been my favourite but they've bloody changed them a bit now and they're not quite as fab as they were:hissy:

They're very slimline and now are the same as Boots slimline ones. Lansinoh ones are fab....this is what Tommee Tippee breastpads were like before they changed:dohh:, they're quite pricey but worth it I reckon as they're extremely thin but large. Not visible under tops, very absorbantant stay in place coz of the sticky tab:happydance:

i got all mine off breastfeeding heaven. they did some offer where it was 1p for 100!! they do it every now and again! i bought 6 boxes and used 3, so i've got plenty left for #2!!

I like the tesco slim ones, I always put kamilosan on aswell

I dont use breastpads as I don't leak (yet) I read an article that breastpads and creams are really bad for your nipples in regards to infection but as I don't leak I can't really say much. lol.

I use washable hemp ones: https://www.spiritofnature.co.uk/acatalog/5415.html they're fine for day use but a couple of times I've had big leaks in bed and the milk has come right through onto my t-shirt. But Spirit of Nature do bamboo ones, so great for keeping infections away, and they have a waterproof backing.

Ohh those look good, can easily wash them along with my wipes :D

Im starting to get eczema patches come up so i think natrual washable ones are the way to go, thanks :D

i use pigeon ones. they feel all nice and gentle against my skin.

I read a money-saving tip in a magazine which said not to use breast pads at all but to cut down sanitary towels to size as they're more absorbent, stick well and more importantly work out so much cheaper.

now obviously my baby not here yet so haven't tried this out so wanted to ask you BF mummies - do you think this would work??

I'm sure it would work but I would bother for the sake of a few quid! :)

It does work, I ran out one time and I had to do it lol. The only problem was that they were a bit more noticable since they were square.

I've done this when I'd run out of pads and it does work but it's a bit awkward so I wouldn't bother except in an emergency. I use the reusable cotton ones most of the time but you can see them through a thin t shirt etc so the rest of the time I use Lilypads (the reusable silicon type ones) which are also great for going swimming etc.

Wouldn't all the stuffing come out and go everywhere especially as a lot of them have little gel bead things in to absorb.

I can't imagine it being any cheaper than buying cheap breast pads:dohh:. You'd see them under your clothes and it would look ridiculous:rofl:

i use the smae ones but only have one box left!!!!

lol I did think that they might fall apart a bit - better just saving that for in emergency situation then. (makes a mental note to go buy some!) Thanks girls xxx
