I kno with regular births a few weeks before ur due date u bounce on a bethball or some yoga or something to get baby in position. Even do some kegals to help strengthen your "pushing" muscles. But I'm having a c section..... Is there anything I can do? I'm 33 weeks : ) and their planning it for my 39th week or 40 th. they haven't decided

I had a c section with my first (she went into distress during labor) and am planning a c section with this one, but can't think of anything you'd need to do to prepare. It just kinda is what it is. They'll get the baby out regardless of how high or low it is or what position it's in... I'd say just put some thought into what you plan to pack in your hospital bag. Soft full coverage panties and clothes that won't rub your incision.

Nothing really just relax and enjoy the calm before the storm :haha: after you'll regret not relaxing when you're constantly on the go

Good luck x

Physically? I don't think there's anything specific. At home? I recommend lots of prepping if this is your first. If you have other children, then you know about the multiple middle of the night wakes and all the fun stuff. Have someone with you the first 2 weeks after you're home to help you and baby get around. I couldn't get out of bed alone the first entire week, so getting to the bathroom, getting up to make food, getting up to do stuff for baby... all of that, if you can have someone home with you to help, that is the best thing to help you after a c-section.

I would make sure you have plenty of pillows for sleeping. I had to make a wedge out of pillows at night so that I was propped up. Getting up from a laying down position was very painful. Every few days I would make the wedge smaller as I was feeling better.

Like others have said, pack ur bag; make sure ur prepared to stay for a couple of days (better to be over packed than under-mine was EMC and my oh had to come back in with more socks, GIANT pants etc). Try to prepared for when u get home; make meals and freeze them ready for when u get back? (In hindsight i really wish I'd done that!) other than that chill ad keep urself relaxed :) ooh also check out local baby groups (quite a few have 'bumps' groups aimed at pregnant women and those with young babies) they r fabulous for meeting new mums :)xx
