This may help from Food Standards x

Don't take fully booked as an answer! If you can't get in with your GP then go directly to your midwife [phone the doctors surgery and ask them for an appointment]. I live in Birmingham too. Whereabouts do you live? x

soft cheese, rare meat, liver, peanuts etc

I still eat some things just in moderation!!

Do you know like they say raw eggs are bad... is scrambled egg OK? I was thinking the other day about that when I was making it because it is cooked but I wasn't sure...

anything thats off is bad nd stuff like goats cheese or unpasturised things lol xx

Scrambled eggs is fine....any egg is ok so long as the yolk is cooked right through, so no runny fried egg sarnies while pregnant i'm afraid! The main worry with egg is the potential for salmonella but if the egg is cooked thoroughly any bacteria will be killed! :hugs:

Try here hon - https://www.babyandbump.com/pregnancy-club/866-not-eat-during-pregnancy.html
If this link doesn't work (I'm not very good at it!!), you will find it in the Pregnancy Club section, at the top - What Not to eat During Pregnancy.
It literally has everything there!!!

Im From Birmingham Too :)

But yeah, phone your doctors and tell them to book you an appointment with the midwife.

:hugs:

Apparently it's bad to eat papaya while pregnant unless you're 100% sure that's it's completely ripe. Unripened papaya can cause uterine contractions and possibly a miscarriage.

^ OMG! I didn't know that! How weird. Does that mean that unripened papaya can cause cramps or make them worse? Like around your period or something...? Weird.

Maybe, I dunno for sure. It contains some weird latex substance which is what triggers the uterine contractions, but when it's fully ripe it doesn't have that substance anymore. I think it's really odd.

Did you go to the doctor yesterday?

Is Philadelphia classed as a soft cheese which shouldn't be eaten whilst pregnant?
I'm going mad for it but not sure if I should be eating it so I'm staying away haha. Every time I open my fridge it just shouts out "EAT ME!"
