What color would you paint the nursery with this bedding set?

We are doing a tree on the wall. Maybe with pink blossoms (We are having a girl) The walls in the baby room are currently tan (Picture #2), I do like the look of a white tree on the tan (like in the bedding picture, #3) But then there is the bold look of a chocolate brown wall (picture #5) that is pretty sweet lookin' too. The decorating challenged part of me says paint it the sage green like the green in the bedding, but that seems really boring to me. We are using only the sheet, crib skirt, valance, diaper stacker, mobile and comforter. (comforter on a chair) I am never going to decide.

HELP! :shrug::dohh::shrug:

I personally think sage green is too much the same... I would do an oatmeal , or a soft yellow, or a soft blue (for a sky) - we're doing blue and a tree in our gender neutral room. :)

Great choice on the bedding BTW!! :)

I think three walls tan and one an accent wall with sage green would be nice.

Have you played around with the Home Depot Color Inspiration tool? I used that tool to pick all 22 different colors when I was repainting my whole house. Every room had 2-3 colors. The living room has 5.

(I may have gone a smidge bit overboard, but it's my first house and I got sick of white apartments. ;))

Hopefully their website still has the tool. I would check, but I only have an iPad, and therefore, no Adobe Flash Player, which you need...

I would do two adjoining dark brown walls (one for the tree and one for the crib), and two sage green walls, one of those being the wall behind the door, but not necessarily the wall the door is in, if that makes sense. And then a tan ceiling and tan trim.

Of course, this means that you will not be using any of the pre-existing paint. Is that a priority for you?

That sounds like a lot, but when I was painting my house, I had a lot of raised eyebrows about my paint colors. Several people said I was overdoing it. But you know what? My colors all freaking rock, if I do say so myself, and I haven't had anyone even bat an eye now that there's furniture in here. I have a very cool house. It was worth all the work and worry.

That's the same nursery/bedding set we have! We got it for DS and we're re-using it for DD. We didn't paint the walls (left them white)- I had wanted to do a mint green but DH nixed it. I love the set though, and the tree on the wall idea.

Another opinion to chuck in for you - I'd say use a chocolate colour for an accent wall with your existing tan walls, and then if you want to use the green from the bedding set (which is lovely, just saying :haha:) then use that as an accent colour, like on the tree for example.

I second the 3 taupe/tan walls idea with one sage green accent wall idea...that would really complement that bedding and furniture.

I would vote for 3 green walls to match the bedding since it's not the predominant color. If you like the look of the tree decal on a dark chocolate wall, do that on the last wall as an accent wall.

You could also do the top half of the walls green and the bottom half chocolate or a lighter brown. You could split the two colors with a chair rail or a wall border.

I vote the 3 tan walls with 1 chocolate wall idea. I think having the sage green on the walls would distract from the bedding whereas having a tan/brown background would make it pop.

i would stay on light tones since there is not much natural light. i would do of white pinkish color, with brown tree, green leaves...

Lots of great ideas! Thanks guys. I think the only thing we know so far is that the ceiling will remain white, leaning twords a white tree also.

Oh boy, decisions are HARD when preggers!
