What colour eyes and hair is your baby likely to have?

My OH and I both have blue eyes meaning baby will too as its the only combination of parent eye colour that definitley defines eye colour of baby (if either parents have brown or geen eyes it could go any way)...

I have dark brown hair that was mousey blonde when I was a baby and my OH has strawberry blonde hair now - but was a complete red head until late teens!! What are the chances of having a red headed baby do you think?

Not sure how genes work with hair colour?

apparently with hair colour it can be anything no matter what colour the mum and dads hair is, so you could have a baby with really dark hair or really fair hair...or really red hair. My dad was dirty blonde and my mum was strawberry blonde and i have really really dark brown hair. If the hair colour is anywhere in your family then it is possible that your baby will have it.

I have blue eyes and dark hair and my OH has brown eyes and dark hair and our DD1 has Dark hair and blue eyes and our DD2 has dark hair and Blue/Green eyes xxxx

Me and Hubby both have brown eyes and dark brown hair, so im guessing brown eyes and brown hair! hehe Altho he does get ginger bits in his beard when he doesnt shave.. so ya never know ginger could be in there too! xx

Normally the dark hair is dominant , but up against red im not sure .
I am light brown hair and hazel eyes and my oh is brown eyes and black hair , but my twins have hazel eyes and light brown hair so follow me which was a complete surprise as i thought they would follow him , so i guess i just disproved the dominant dark gene theory lolx

Well Im very blonde with blue eyes and fair skin. OH has 2 different colour eyes, one blue and one greeny brownish depending on his mood, yes I know very odd. He also has dark brown hair.
Therefore Im at a total loss. My bro has mousey brown hair and brown eyes, my little sister has ginger hair and brown eyes, I take after my dad, also blonde with blue eyes.
My OH family is pretty much all the same, mousey to dark brown hair and blue, and green eyes.

I would like, if we could only choose, my baby to have blue eyes but with my husbands dark hair and long dark eye lashes, I really dont want it to have my skin as Im horrible and pasty and burn in the sun, not nice to live with.

However I just hope its not ugly

our babies are born with lots of black hair which turns very very light brown almost blonde from age 18m till 6 then back to dark again

You could be a Brownblonde and your OH a Brownblond. Meaning you both have the blond gene but it's hidden by the dominant Brown. Depends on your respective parents! If you are two Brownblonds, there's a 25% you have a blond kid!

If one parent is a ginger carrier, even if they dont have ginger hair themselves, then more then likely the baby will be a ginge!
My mum has dark brown hair and green eyes, my father dirty blonde and blue eyes, I have blue eyes and am a red head! My father was the carrier, and obviosuly so will I be...
OH has a ginger tint beard, but dark hair, but his brother is ginger, so OH maybe a carrier as well, so more then likely im going to have a little red head! xx

Thanks for that, my parents both has dark hair. My dads is black and my mums is dark brown (she is 1/4 american indian) my OH's parents both have dark hair? My sister is as dark brown as you can get without calling it black and my OH's brother is also brown but lighter. Not a blondie in sight. It would be soooooo lovely if he/she had blonde hair and blue eyes tho! Thanks for that fact much appreciated! xxx

My baby's daddy is spanish and has jet black hair and brown eyes. Me, I was born bright blonde (now mousy) and blue eyes. I really have no idea how my bub's gonna turn out. Extremely cute all the same!!

My dad is brown eyed and very dark brown hair whereas my my mum's a redhead with blue eyes.

What is weird is my cousin's little girl is half spanish and both parents have dark hair and brown eyes but she came out with blue eyes which they presume is from the grandad.

My parents both have black hair and we all had blonde hair up till being around 5. My dad has brown eyes and my mum blue even though brown is dominant we all have blue eyes.

Me and hubby have brown hair but i have blue eyes and his are green. He also has red hair in his beard if he doesn't shave.

I think the baby will take my blue eye's as blue tends more often than not to over ride green and the hair colour could be any really. Maybe red or brown but i keep thinking our child will be very blonde, just an instinct i have.

But as for hair. I am dark brown. DH is brown but was blonde when born. We have ginger on 3 sides of the family. My mum and brother were born blonde but are now dark brown so it's anybodys guess if we have blonde, ginger or brown!
