Just wondering what the single ladies did for a birthing partner. :flower:

My mum was my birthing partner!

All through my pregnancy i didnt want her there, but didnt have the heart to say no either. But when they started to induce me i got so scared i wanted her there immediatley lol

x

Again my Mummy lol haha, she came into my c section and she didn't enjoy it lol though she did like the fact that she held my baby first, and i think she cut the cord but i was too out of it to remember that

My mum is going to be mine. She's been through it so many times herself - I might as well benefit from her experience! :)

My mom and my best friend, I tried my hardest to keep it friendly enough that FOB could be there but he just doesn't deserve to be. My mom would walk 1000 miles to be here for it, and my best friend too, and I'll be a MILLION times more comfortable with them there.

no one... or a friend of mine, but that'll really depend on how quick things will go etc. plus that friend just fell pregnant herself, so by the time i'll be in labor she'll be like 10 weeks along and if she'll be as sick as i was during my first trimester, i don't know if she'll be able to endure being there without getting sick etc.... which already makes me worry about her and i don't want anybody there that i will worry about, as if everything goes the way it's supposed to, i'll have a natural birth without any drugs available, so i need all focus on me and the labor, not on anybody else.

my parents are flying in one day after my due date, but my mom doesn't speak english and the way she is, i don't think she'll do good.

the only person i could see there is my former host mum. she said if i'll go early, she'll fly down here from alabama, i just need to call. so that's my absolute back-up plan in case i start freaking out :)

otherwise i have to say i feel pretty good right now thinking about it being just me and the midwifes. let's see what will happen :)

My mum and my best friend were my birthing partners xx

my mum was mine but my sister was there with my first child with my second it was a bit scary i had to have emergancy c section and i was on my own as my mum was too far away to get there in time my mum was a lone parent too and i remember she had her best friend with her when she had my sister
dont do it on your own its scary and heartbreaking afterwards any good friend would be happy to come with you if you havent got parents gl x

Ive no real close friends and was thinking my parents will be having my LO while in hospital

maybe your dad could look after LO and your mum could stay with you x

My auntie and probably my 15 year old daughter (she desperately wants to be there)

FOB and my Mum. FOB had said the whole time I was pregnant that he wasn't going to come to the birth but then during my 4 days overdue decided that he didn't want to miss it. My Mum was the most help though. FOB just sat there looking scared...

I love that so many people have said their mum - I hope my little girl and I have such a good relationship when she's grown up.

My mam was my birthing partner i did want my sister there aswell but she would of dropped to the floor she's really faint hearted any sight of blood and that's it :haha:
