What Did You Do with Your Baby's Navel Cord After It Dropped Off?

I still have mines.

My mother and mother-in-law said to keep it. Wrap it in a zip lock bag lol

I still don't know the reason why I should keep it, but I did.

What happen to yours.. Either kept it, lost it, or thrown it away.

My mother saved mine, I think she still has it. lol I have no idea why, I also have no idea why she freezed her placenta for 3 years, then "feed it to the fish"(put it in the ocean) when we moved from the Keys LMAO.

I kept Bella's for about a week then decided it was gross and threw it away.

i have scrapbooks for both the kids, their cords are in them.

In my OH's tradition they are told to wrap it up in tissue paper and flush it down the toilet...so thats what we did..a little strange really xx

I was nearly sick when I found in in Noah's nappy.

My mum kept it (ov she removed the bit of cord from it) she sterilised it and now she has it as her key ring.

I remember I worked in shop and we had a set of lost keys with 2 of them on and I just used to sit and fiddle with them trying to open it. Wasn't until I had Noah I realised what they we're

As for the others, I didn't keep it...especially when it's fallen in their diaper. LOL

I think hospital bracelets, pictures, a snippet of their hair from their first haircut, etc. are more appropriate to keep.
