What did your doctor put you on for first cycle??

Hey ladies,
I've been trying to conceive for 8 months now, the doctor has checked my bloodwork and all is good...she is thinking about getting me started on Clomid this month. Can anyone tell me what you were started on for your first medicated cycle??
Becoming really anxious and heartbroken. I had no problems conceiving my two year old son either. On cd 13/28 I had some follicles measured and the largest was 10mm which is quite a bit smaller than it should be around this time. There were 3/4 eggs in one ovary and 5 in the other and she saw some fluid around one of the ovaries, she said she wasn't sure if I had already ovulated. The doctor who checked over my ultrasound told me my eggs looked healthy and there was plenty. I don't think he took into consideration I only have a 28 day cycle. Blah. So frustrating!

hi kesh. they will always start you in 50 mg and work up from there to prevent over simulation. the days you take them vary from doctor to doctor. my clinic goes with cd 2-6, but many go 3-7 and so on.

Hey, wow that's great they are doing something after only 8 months, normally it's a year. If all is ok how come you are being put on clomid? The follciles may have been a day or two awy from being the size you'd expect. Also is 28 days not the 'standard' cycle length. Sorry for all the questions, but good luck this cycle!

A few years ago my doctor put me on clomid and it gave me very large cyst that I had to have removed surgically. This time my doctor put me on Femara. I took 5mg on cd 3-7. I was supposed to go in for a scan after I took the medication but my insurance was giving me the run around and I was never able to make my appointment. I'm hoping this worked because I had the worst cramps on CD11... I'm hoping I ovulated as bad as it felt. And since CD16 I have had major eye pain in my right eye (dryness and a stabbing pain). And I thought I had pink eye but I'm not sure if that's what it really is. Now I'm just waiting for my period on the 26th or 27th or if I can test.
