What do i do if..... UPDATED pg4

tootsy i am so sorry you are going through thisxx
I had a mmc at 13wk, (baby stopped growing at 6) naturally, i had ocntractions, they hurt so i went to hospital and they gave me strong pain relief, i couldnt cope with it at home but thats just me.
Second time i found out on sat and had dc booked for mon, had cramps, heavy bleeding and clots but didnt pass sac before op- i took paracetamol and nerufen(am not aware that it contains asprin, check with nhs mayb)
it is my opinion, that for me, hospital is best option-didnt like the pain or the bleeding and didnt want the dilema of 'down the loo/not down the loo'do whats best for you, take your painrelief now if you are worried and a hot water bottle helps, if you get to a point where you arent comfortable with whats happening then get to hospital would be my choice, try not to worry to much about the physical side, you will be ok-lots of love and i hope it works out in the best way for you

Tootsy I want to add that my first miscarriage was not painful in anyway. Strange..... however the bleeding did last 4 weeks, clots and all, but i was still ok. i didnt need painkillers, just drank plenty fluids....ok, perhaps plenty alcohol too, i was on holiday!
guess some people can be different

i am so sorry this has happened to you

Hi tootsy, so sorry to hear you are going through this and completely understand your anxiety. I MC naturally at 10 weeks, blleding started on the sunday, cramps the monday (on a plane) and passed sac on Wednesday. I knew it was close because the cramps got more intense and behaved like contractions lasting around 10 secs and coming every two mins or so. Even at that stage the bleeding was a bit more than a heavy period.

Hopefully you'll hold out til tomorrow, I'm thinking of you and wish you well for a speedy recovery

Im Very sorry to hear about your loss and very to hear that your in so much pain. Im here for you if u ever wanna talk

I found out at 9 weeks.. that my twin babies had no heartbeat. I was given three options.. let it happen naturally (which my body wasnt going to do it seemed).. induce the mmc.. or three a d&c.. i chose option 2.. and it was absolutely the best option for me. While it was awful terrible pains.. I was at home.. and my husband (wonderful man!) took care of me.. if I ever have to go through this again.. I wouldnt change anything  It just worked for me..

Tootsy, how are you doing today sweetie? :hugs:

This message is probably a bit too late for you but I thought I'd add just in case. I had a MMC. I'd had no signs that I was miscarrying and went for my scan at 12 weeks and found out the baby had died at 7 weeks 2 days. I'd had the bloated tummy so I certainly looked pregnant but that evening after I found out, my stomach went down and then 2 days later, I started having cramps and some very light brown spotting. This all happened 2 days before xmas, with the spotting on xmas day. I couldn't have my ERPC until 29 December so, like you, was very worried it was going to happen naturally, but it didn't. The spotting did continue but nothing major at all and it did hold off and I had my ERPC.

It makes me wonder that if you know you've miscarried, if that then brings it on naturally because it just seemed a little strange to me.

So sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is. Feel free to PM me if you need to talk xxx

Hi there
I'm sorry I'm a bit late here I think.
I had an ERPC in December. It's nevr going to be fun, but sorted out my body in super fast time. I was home by 4.30pm. All my preg symptoms went after about 3 days and my AF arrived 28 days later.
Hope you are ok?

So sorry. We have just been through this, on the 13th March had an imcomplete m/c and lost twins - D&C on the 14th. Had gone for scan on the Tue (10th) when we were 10+3, but no h/b and babies only measuring 5 weeks. Told to wait and only come in if bleeding got heavy. I got pretty freaked, when it started I called and they were asking how much blood, how many pads - I just kept crying that I was bleeding, that was all I needed to know! Anyway, stopped for a couple of days, then Friday night got terrible pains (got a 2 year old) and I knew it was like a contraction (hardness in tummy then all round the back). Guessed that was it starting as had been warned cervix would open before bleeding started, and straight after that the bleeding started really heavy. Was a constant stream rather with lots of clots (sorry tmi!). Straight to hospital and had to get gas & air as was so intense. But, it did ease after that thru night until op.

No point saying not to worry, but when you go in they will take good care of you and make you as comfortable as possible.

Hi there I was just thinking of you and wondering how your doing?

Hope your doing as well as expected at a time like this and just know we are all here if you need anything!

Tootsy, how are you doing today sweetie? :hugs:

Thanks to all you all for all ur great advice and the girls who asked how it went! i went in at 12noon and finally went into theatre at 15.05, i had mask anesthetic, brilliant stuff although my lungs hurt a little off it, or off the tube that was down... woke up at 15.50 ish so wasnt long at all. Woke crying in pain but i think it was more down to what had happened and the drugs cause i was still kinda outa it. I actually am actually feeling o.k. was upset thismorning but kinda just getting on with it now, nothing i can change. At this moment in time i definately think it was the right decision... i have had rather minimal bleeding, quite painful cramps though and only tiny clots (sorry) soo its not too bad, just hoping it doesnt get heavier or anything. Only one thing that concerned me a little was i pinched my notes and they said they had removed a 10 week old fetus... when yesterday i was told fetus was 8+5 and if it was 10 weeks then it was spot on dates? im hoping its just me reading it wrong as they did not do another scan to double check the private one was right although we know what we saw or rather didnt see at that scan. I got home about 18.15 and just chilling out for a little while before i go to bed, im exhausted.

Thanks for being sooo wonderful!! i really appreciate it!!

Hey Toots, good to hear you're ok missis. Get some rest and take it easy for a while. Try not to worry too much about what you read, they probably just got mixed up or something.

Big fat  comin your way.

So glad your home and feeling better. Best of luck! Just so you know, if you ever want to rant this is the place as everyone here are the greatest listeners and have probably felt the same way. Sending you lots of :hugs:

Glad you're home and feeling ok. Could it be that you read it wrong and it said that you had your op at 10 weeks?

My bleeding was the worst on the first day and after that, it was pretty minimal. It was less than a period and the cramps were actually less than AF cramps. Think I got off lightly there to be honest xxx

thanks for the update, and glad your doing as well as expected :hugs:

it definately said a 10 week (something removed) maybe it meant sac? cause i know my sac was still growing and was still measuring my dates. Susan im the same, well im hoping it doesnt get any worse, the cramps come and go, can be painful but trying to ride through them with just paracetamol, bleedings not too bad, only had to use one pad since about 5pm and its only about a quarted used (sorry!) just going to change shortly though. Hopefully it will just get a bit easier and lighter each day.

Thanks for all ur well wishes xxx

Just wanted to reccomend cocodamol if you are finding just paracetamol arent helping.
Your a strong cookie tootsy :) Sending you lots of hugs x x

Glad you are recovering OK from the op hunni.
Maybe you can call on monday & ask them to explain to put your mind at rest about the notes :hugs:
