Hello, my name is Judith and I am an eschange student from Germany, studying at the Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. For school we invented a new product idea:fresh & organic baby food. In order to satisfy our potential customer needs we prepared a survey. I would be really greatful if someone could answer this questions:

1.Single/married?
2.Currently working?
3.Pregnant/children younger than 2 yrs?
4.How important to you is having organic food in your diet?
5. Have you ever purchased healthy organic baby food?
5a Why did you choose to purchase it?
5b What kind of healthy organic food have you purchased in the past?(Brands, where etc)
5c How often have you purchased this in the past (month)?
6. How much do you do believe that organic food determines the health & growth of babies?
7. When you purchase baby food, what do you look for?
8. glass or plastic containers for the food?
9.Fresh made or prepared meals?
10.Interest in cosulting with nutritionists regarding the ingredients of baby food?
11.Convenient place to buy?
12.Increase value by considering common allergies?

Thank you very much for your help!

1. Married
2. Full time
3. Not pregnant. One child - 10 months
4. Not that important - I will buy organic veg 50% of the time. I only buy organic meat that is free range as not all of it is.
5. I buy organic baby snacks (rice crackers, cereal bars). I've never bought baby 'food' though.
5a. See above
5b. Snacks only - can't remember brand
5c. Once
6. Not at all.
7. I don't buy baby food.
8. I tend to freeze/refrigerate baby's meals in glass or ceramic ramekins. I do use plastic pots to store snacks in when we head out.
9. Freshly made meals
10. No interest. I'm very clued up on nutrition. I also don't feed 'baby food'.
11. Local supermarket - Tesco
12. I don't consider allergies - none of us have any.

1.Single/married? - Married
2.Currently working? - Part time
3.Pregnant/children younger than 2 yrs? - Pregnant and one child just turned 2
4.How important to you is having organic food in your diet? - Not incredibly important. I will buy organic if it is affordable but I know realistically that 'organic' is a pretty vague category and doesn't necessarily mean chemical-free or automatically have health benefits. I would want to know more than 'organic' - animal welfare standards, freshness and added sugars would be a bigger concern.
5. Have you ever purchased healthy organic baby food? - yes
5a Why did you choose to purchase it? - As a back up. Mostly baby ate what we ate, but it was good to have some pre made meals in case we were out or eating something not suitable for babies.
5b What kind of healthy organic food have you purchased in the past?(Brands, where etc) - Mostly Ella's Kitchen and Hipp, from local supermarkets
5c How often have you purchased this in the past (month)? - not at all. Probably used 1-2 packets a week when baby was 6mths-1yr
6. How much do you do believe that organic food determines the health & growth of babies? - not that much. I believe a good balance of food types is more important than whether it's organic.
7. When you purchase baby food, what do you look for? - ingredients that I would use at home, without added sugars, colourings etc. Something that tastes like things the adults would eat.
8. glass or plastic containers for the food? - Prefer glass but it's not a big part of decision making.
9.Fresh made or prepared meals? - Fresh made as often as possible.
10.Interest in consulting with nutritionists regarding the ingredients of baby food? - Not really. I'm pretty clued up and don't use that much prepared baby food to worry too much about it.
11.Convenient place to buy? Local supermarkets
12.Increase value by considering common allergies? - Not an issue in our family but it would make sense to avoid common allergy foods since many parents are ultra cautious about what they introduce to their infants.

1.Single/married? - unmarried but cohabiting with father
2.Currently working? no
3.Pregnant/children younger than 2 yrs? 1 daughter 10.5mths
4.How important to you is having organic food in your diet? very especially meat dairy and veg we eat skins of.
5. Have you ever purchased healthy organic baby food? no never purchased any baby food. we eat the same and prepare all our food without salt - homemade stocks etc.
5a Why did you choose to purchase it? n/a
5b What kind of healthy organic food have you purchased in the past?(Brands, where etc) yeo milk & yoghurt. supermarket free range & organic chicken
5c How often have you purchased this in the past (month)? every week
6. How much do you do believe that organic food determines the health & growth of babies? believe its best to have food as unprocessed or modified as possible and think a lot of hormones etc intended to boost farmers production are detrimental to our health.
7. When you purchase baby food, what do you look for? don't buy food specifically aimed at babies.
8. glass or plastic containers for the food? as little packaging as possible. ideally recyclable.
9.Fresh made or prepared meals? fresh if possible.
10.Interest in cosulting with nutritionists regarding the ingredients of baby food? not really. think its pretty common sense.
11.Convenient place to buy? I try to make the effort to get the bus into the local market but often use nearest supermarket 5 mins walk away if feeling lazy or need something quickly
12.Increase value by considering common allergies? none of us have any food allergies I'm aware of.
