What do your babies wear to bed?

I am getting pretty frustrated lately trying to decide if my baby is waking up because he is too hot/cold or just something else that I can not pin point and frankly may not be able to. It may just be him sleeping bad lately.

He is 3 months old. His room is kept at 70 degrees and he wears a light footed pajama with a cotton Halo sleep sack over it and sleeps in a crib. When he wakes to eat he is warm on his back but his face is a little cold (only his face). Maybe his face is cold because of the AC turning on? Anyway, I took his temperature and he was around 97.1. I read that babies temperature goes down a bit while sleeping? So, I am wondering if this is good, or if he is cold since his temp is low?

Ours wears either a sleep sack or footed jammies. We keep it at 74, though recently outside it's been getting cooler at night so sometimes it gets down to 72 or 71 in the apartment by morning, but we don't have any problems. Her hands get cold when she wears the regular footed jammies, but it doesn't seem to bother her. She sleeps 7-8 hours.

Maybe try warming it up just a tad? Maybe he is a little chilly.

My lo wears just a baby grow and he's 5 months. He doesn't have a vest underneath and he only has a cover over him if it's feeling cold in the bedroom, our airing cupboard is in our bedroom though so it is usually the warmest room in the house

I use a temperature chart online that shows the reccomendation of what babies should wear to bed at different temperatures which is great help when I'm in doubt:flower:

Footed sleepers here every night and I keep the house at 73* at night.

Atm Amelie wears a vest, sleepsuit and either a blanket or her sleeping bag.

Light footed pj's. We have our central air set at 73.

Those of you that use blankets, do you worry that they will get it stuck over their face and not be able to breathe? Heck, I still don't even let my almost 22 month old use a blanket at night.

He sounds like he's appropriately dressed for sleep. His neck should feel comfortably warm, but not hot. It would be normal for his hands and face to be slightly cool. Remember, body heat has to escape somehow and when it does, those body parts are going to feel cool. You could, however, try one less or one more layer and see if it makes a difference for him. There was a point where I had to put less on Leo than I thought I did and it made him happier. As for what I do, it isn't really comparable because we bedshare.

I wouldn't let my baby sleep with a blanket if he was sleeping alone. Because I sleep with him, I'm able to control where the blankets land, though. I do avoid fluffy blankets but will probably start using them in a few months.
