Hi Girls

I've just got a copy of DH's SA results (we knew it was bad but seeing "Normal Forms: 3%" is very depressing) and the comment on the bottom says "Density and normal forms low (no kidding). Suitable for ICSI Rx only". What does the "Rx" bit mean? I'm hoping it's something really trivial but I keep thinking it's something bad - please put me out of my misery!

It sounds like your ivf will involve the procedure by which one sperm is injected directly into one egg in order to fertilise it. This is normal when the man has low sperm out.

Rx is shorthand for prescription, I dont know if it has a different meaning in this context.Good luck. XX

Yes, it might not mean that in that context but in general medical terms that is the short hand...... XXX

Perhaps Rx after ICSI means ICSI treatment is the prescribed option ... not sure otherwise...

Good luck

x
