what does it mean to cramp if breastfeeding.

Not sure, but it feels like I am getting period cramps but no period. DTD with my husband for the first time last weekend, not sure if that has anything to do with it? thoughts?

How old is baby? It does take a while for your uterus to go back to normal size, and BFing does trigger "contractions" that help it shrink. But I think that usually only takes a couple of weeks.

I've also heard several ladies on here say they have experienced period like cramps without actually getting their period. I think it just happens sometimes.

Its just your uterus shrinking back to its prepregnancy state totally normal, and it gets worse with each kid you have! I just had my third and the cramps after were like contractions pretty much!

My daughter is 2 months. I had a c section with her. Not sure if that makes it go back slower than normal labor?

Imwas crampy until like nine weeks or so i had vaginal delivery

i still get crampy every now and then and my son is 4

it's just the hormones that are released during breastfeeding - very normal.
