what does reverse blood flow mean

My notes say edf reverse flow. But what does it actually mean?

The feature is seen as a result of a signifcant increase in resitance in blood flow within the placenta.

Basically, it's a sign of a failing or struggling placenta. x

They found reversed blood at my 13 week scan. At 18 weeks it had reolved by itself. There are howeber other concerns like think nuchal fold and liquid in the kidneys.
