on maternity notes it's got ceph which i understand, free which i understand but in between where it says boxes for both lie/engaged it says ROA? no idea n it doesn't say nefin about it on the "medical terms" bit x

it means right ocipital anterior - its the way the baby is facing... and that is good (posterior is when you have a really long labour).. thats very specific of the midwife!

Right Occiput Anterior. Which relates to the position of the baby. The back of her head (the occiput) is towards the front right hand side. Its a good position.

Hiya

thats the same as me, it means...

ROA - the back of your baby's head is on your right-hand side and towards the front of your tummy.. I'll try and find a pichttps://doulamomma.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/katie-belly-rose-wroa.jpg

Nice pic Claire!!

Just to add that you may find LOT and ROT referred to as LOL and ROL. Which of course really impressed my OH (who is a total geek) when he found out our baby was lying LOL and was therefore a Lol-fetus
