I was making a list of the things we still need to get the other day, and still quite a few things we need to buy:
Cot mattress
baby swing
cot mobile
cot/moses basket sheets
blankets
cotton wool balls
baby bath

This is our 2nd so we have not bought anything yet....

We actually only need....

-new moses basket mattress
-a cot and mattress for the newbaby (but that can wait for another 6 months from now really!

i was racing around the other day getting all my last min stuff...am 39wks this week..had mad panic over moses basket mattresses..as had 2nd hand basket & pram & needed 2 new mattresses..measured each & were different sizes..every shop i tried they didnt have them..then looked in Ar*os catalogue & the mattress they had fitted both..even thou original mattresses measured differnt...

all organised now..but watch those moses basket sheets as well as ones i had last time for DS dont fit this time..too small....luckily had some others that do fit...

would be good to read from new mums what they used most in early weeks, so we know what to prioritise if we are runnin behind with our baby shoppin...

I've got everything ready. Just waiting for the cotbed to arrive and waiting for after my November growth scan to see what size to get also all the Winter clothes will be out .
Then I think we're all done eeek. Still makes me laugh when OH looks in the mini walk in wardrobe we've got and it's ready to burst! Ignoring there are huge items e.g. pram and moses basket! He's a little overwhelmed about it all. He said 'all this stuff for a mini person isn't on!' haha

Not first baby, but my dd is 5 so have had to buy everything again! Trying to remember all I needed 1st time around!

We have just ordered the cot bed and mattress so still to get is:

Crib mattress
Some more bedding for crib and cot
Nail scissors
Curtains and pole for nursery

Think thats it for baby but I still need some new pyjamas and nursing bra's but waiting a bit to see what size I will be. xxx

We still have everything from when Alyssa was born, so all we still need are:

- A new chest of drawers for baby
- New cotbed mattress
- New moses basket mattress
- A Mei Tai sling (ok, I don't NEED it, but I want it LOL)


I think that's all we're missing. We have loads of newborn unisex clothes, so until we know whether we have a boy or a girl, we won't need anything new. I think it's more what we need to DO still rather than what we need to GET, if you know what I mean.

Oh, I need some new nursing bras - but that will wait 7 or 8 weeks yet till I see what size I am LOL

All that's left for me to do is pick up the cot, make a cot mattress, pay for my car seat.

Other than that i have everything.

This is our first baby so I made a list and got most things already. Still need a bassinet for our bedroom, car mirror, car seat/stroller bunting cover, breast pump, bottle warmer, humidifier, diapers, wipes, baby wash, activity mat, bouncer, swing, toys.

Nappies (Size 2+3 but will need size 1 now as I'm getting induced at 37 weeks)
Baby monitor - New - £15 down from £35


Mmmm that's it. I'm a sucker for a bargain! We've not rushed, just wee bits and bobs we've bought over time. We're going to get the rest when OH get's paid because hospital have offered me induction at 37 weeks, which means around 28th of October. So currently baby has a cot but no mattress to sleep on lol.
