What exactly is a bump buddy?

Hi everyone.

This is probably a silly question, but I'm not real clear on what a bump buddy is exactly. And how do I get one?

It's someone due around the same time as you, who you keep in touch with throughout your pregnancies via a thread or texts etc. They are often in the same country (or at the least the same time zone) as you. I think there is actually a buddy section on this website but some people just post a thread 'Looking for buddy due around ...." in the first tri section.

in my last pregnancy i had a bump buddy who gave birth less than 24 hrs than me. and we still speek a year on.

this time around im bump buddies with someone else due around the same time as me.

you just share simptoms and get excited about things together share storys ect. someone to add to your eary birth announcment list, to be friends with and hopefuly form a strong bond with. its lovley to watch progression with the same person.

and with last years bumpbuddy im enjoyzing watching a little girly grow and learn whos the same age as my little man =)
