What formula do u use?

I was thinking about what formula is better for newborn in case i cant breastfeed? So far Caw and Gate or SMA seems to be the most recomended..
What do you think which is better for newborn?

I got SMA in and to be honest hated it.... it smelled 'manufactured' etc....

I breastfeed but Caine now has a few bottles a day and I use Aptamil and have found this to be really good. Its supposed to be the most similar to breast milk too....

I have not tried Cow and Gate sorry so cant comment on that one

Non of my friends have used Aptimil but so i did not think of that one but all sugesstions are more then welcome.. SO:

I used Aptamil for my eldest after trying a variety, Aptamil was the only one which suited but with my youngest on the very occasion she has a bottle I use SMA white ready made and she's fine with it. It's personal choice I think.

hmm i'd prefer use the powder then ready made..

I ony use Cow&Gate as that is what my mum used with me,my brother and my sister,but again personal choice.
U cant get it wrong really as they are new to every type of milk and the one you end up giving will be the one they get used to xx

I really don't think you can go on recommendation tbh! Just pick one to try and see how you get along. All babies are different! One person will tell you to avoid SMA, the next will tell you their LO has never had a problem with it! Just make sure you pick one that is easily available in local shops.

I've been told so many conflicting things about formula, equal numbers of people have told me that Cow and Gate and Aptamil are the most similar to breastmilk.

Personally I have always used Cow and Gate ready made and never had any problem whatsoever.

i agree, all babies are different and i too think its just a case of try and see. maddi has always had aptamil - and i personally think its great x

I use cow & gate but like claire said its a personal choice and every baby's different. There's no right or wrong x

was thinking of maybe switching brands of milk to see if it would make a difference wit the LO as he is constant hungry not sure if its a gd idea to switch milk or not hes only 4 weeks. anyone else done it ??

Think they are all very similar. There are strict guidelines about manufacturing formula. I would speak to your HV before changing. How much are you giving in each bottle?

We use sma! But i really dont know y! Prob coz every1 i know uses it! jenna gets on fine with it xxx
