What happens at Drs if you are ovulating?...

loopylew... i am in sort of the same situation as you, my cycles are so irregular and they cannot test to see if im ovualting because they wouldnt know when to test so i have been given clomid.

clomid not only makes you ovulate it also regulates your cycles back. when we use opk and cbfm is shows we are getting the hormone increase but it doesnt actually mean an egg is being released from your ovaries.

i have got my scan next week to see if the follicles are being produced and released.
what are yoour cycles like?? if they are irregular this may be an option for you.

hope this helps. xx

There is no average cycle for me, seems to be anything between 31-47 days, usually somewhere in 30's, although in 11 months had two over 45. This month i appear to have ovulated on cd27, which is later than normal by a couple of days. I usually start spotting from 6dpo and AF arrives between 6-8dpo so i think something is seriously mixed up. My next Specialist appt is 30th Sept so i hope he does something then, at least some tests

it seem to be very much like me, have u had an internal scan yet, they did that for me first. fingers crossed they will give you clomid also.

not had anything other than smear type tests and blood tests done that GP could do. I really hope we get clomid too! just to regulate my ovulation and luteal phase!

yeah had first appt but he sent us away for another 3 months to "relax"!! says next time (30th Sept) he will do an examination and may be give us some mild fertility drugs

yeh they did that to me and the next time i was given clomid so fingers crossed hun xx

yes i had one scan when i went originally then they told me to go away for 3 months. when i went back they gave me clomid and one your first cycle of treatment you have to go in for a scan around day 12 to see if clomid is working. if so they tell you to go away and carry on and if you dont fall with the first treatment carry on for the next 2 months with clomid.

if it hasnt worked after the 3rd cycle then ive got to go back for another appointment to discuss it further.

it very much sounds like they are doing the same with you, the downside to clomid is really bad hot flushes but if it works its worth it hun xx

definately, i hope they do that with us, you hear of so many successes with Clomid, i hope this is your month hun x

thanks ive been doing my ovulation sticks aswell and i got a positive this morning so even though my scan was weds and that was day 16, it is day 20 today when i got my positive so looks like ill have a 35 day cycle again.

the doc that did the scan did say to me with clomid you dont normally ovulate till day 17 but i thought it regulated ur cycle....its all sooo confusing.

Did you test on any of the other days? some people get positives for a few days and i think clomid messes up opks etc so might have ovulated on cd17. As long as you've ovulated hun at a decent time in your cycle thats all that matters xx for the first time since ttc it looks like we're going to ovulate at a "normal" time this cycle, fingers crossed x

yeh i did them from the day i went for the scan and they were negative up until the sunday xx

at least you got a positive, hope you got in plenty of bd'ing! we got some in, not as much as id've liked, just praying my luteal phase is more normal this cycle with me ovulating earlier x

good luck hun hope it all works out for you. I am 7 dpo now so a week left until testing!!
