What Happens Next?

So far I've had CD 21 bloods and an ultrasound.

- CD3 blood when AF comes and hopfully be able to book my HSG for later this month as well.


OH has had a ultrasound on his boys which showed a slight 'obstruction' caused by a cyst he had as a child.
FS has said that despite this his ONE sperm sample was good and used the words 'Excellent Swimmers' and also said that from the sample he provided he should have been getting me pregnant all the time

- He has two more samples to give on Monday and then around the 17th.


What happens after all this?
I'm presuming here that his samples will come back fine so would it be clomid time?

If they don't come back good what happens then?
He has been on Wellman Conception for around 6 months, and taken most advise such as low alcohol intake, no smoking (he never has done), loose boxers, no bike, no laptop etc.

Hiya! I'm not sure exactly but my dh's first test showed he had great swimmers so I was put on clomid as i have PCOS. We tried that for 10 months and nothing. Then he had another and it was really bad. He's just had another this week and we've been told that whatever the result we will be moving onto either ICSI (ivf) or IUI so i would guess that would be your next route too!

If his tests come back fine then i guess they might try you on clomid but i thought that was only for ladies who don't ovulate regularly or at all. Do you have regular cycles?

Yeah regular cycles and I do ovulate but I know a lot of women have it even though they already ovulate
Apprently it can increase egg quality which could be my problem

yeah it will be clomid next. it helps you ovulate but it also helps with egg quality and maturity. best of luck to you xxx

Hi Maaybe2010,

i ovulate on my own and have no issues, however i just completed my first round of clomid...it's suppose to enhance ovulation, may make u ovulate 2 eggs and just gives dh's swimmers a better target.

Are there any criteria people must fit to recieve clomid?
Or ICSI and IVF? I'm sure I heard you hae to be 25 to get IVF?

Nope, no age restrictions for clomid, so if SA fine, i recon they'll put you on that.... Hope you manage to do it without it!
