what happens now?

As some of you know I didnt have much luck with going to the Gp's last week and getting some tests lol, but I'm off again next week to see the GP and see about some tests, but what happens after you've been trying over 12 months?

I really have no idea lol, we havent had any tests at all. I've got a vague idea of clomid and IVF and things but I've really got no clue about what order everything happens in. And what tests will be done etc

Can someone give me an idea of what happened to them?

Hey chick

If they are going to run tests then the first thing that they will do will be blood tests for you - day 21 and day 3 or 5. Some GPs run tests on the partner at the same time, other's wait - if your DH has tests it'll be an SA.

When they get the results in they will decide the next course of treatment - be it a referral to the FS or something else.

Usual course of action is Day 2 bloods. Day 21 bloods to check for ovulation and quality of eggs. Also sperm analysis to make sure Le Swimmers are healthy and able to get to where they should be. Ultrasound and tube checking comes next, I'd imagine. HSG and scans usually. Depending on your cycles and symptoms there might be a Laparoscopy but that's not a requirement for many. If all clear then they try Clomid. Normally they will only put you on Clomid for four to six months as they say that if it hasn't worked then it never will.

After Clomid, depending upon sperm, they would do IUI. And if that fails, IVF.

Yeah, SA was the first thing they offered at the GP's when i asked about it, as its cheap and easy to do.

Hey Tabby, ditto the other girls, they will offer you your bloods, and then hubbys sperm, and then go from there i guess.
