what happens when you go overdue?

I was wondering what would happen if i went overdue, like when sweeps, scans and induction is usually done?

That entirely depends on your area and best to ask your MW!!

Mine is 12days over for induction, but some are 10 or 14days. Sweeps are more random so am hoping I'll have one on Tues at my appointment if he isn't here by then!!!

My midwife is doing a sweep when I'm a week over well 6 days, but won't induce till two weeks over I'm hoping he come before both tho

Here they just leave us to go crazy until we are ten days overdue we then can have a sweep at home if that doesn't work we finally get inducted fourteen days after our due date.

I'm hoping I don't go overdue because 14 days after my DD sounds crazily long! x

I have an appointment with MW on Wednesday, I'll get my first sweep then at 39+4 I'll then get another one at my 41 week appointment if
I'm still here and be induced after then if need be. I'm really hoping first sweep works and LO will be here by next weekend...or even better if she arrives before then without the need for sweep!

My sister went over 11 days before they decided to induce her. I think it depends, if the baby and mom are both fine they won't try to push it/force it.

I had two failed sweeps, one at 37+6 and the other at 38+6. I'm being induced at 40+6 because my placenta is getting old and I'm already 3cm and 90% effaced.

It all depends on your MD/mw. Mine is high risk because lo has a two vessel cord and she wouldn't let me go past 41 weeks. Some induce on the due date and some wait til 42 weeks.

Yes, depends totally on your Dr/MW. Sweeps are not common at my clinic.

My last baby, I was 40+12, and the only reason I was induced was because my waters were getting low.
