Hello,

I realize these are fairly common, but still would like to avoid the heartbreak of one since we are TTC now.

Going in for try number 2 on cycle number 3 since I've been charting. The first round I experienced a chemical pregnancy. A few years ago, when I was not trying, I experienced a chemical pregnancy as well. First try we did AI (hubby is transgender so we have to), tracking temps, OPKs, a softcup, pre-seed, taking prenatal vitamins, baby aspirin from start of period, and pineapple core to help implantation. Thinking about taking Evening Primrose and Flaxseed Oil on the next round and ditching the baby aspirin because I'm Type A which is already a thin blood type.

My question is what might you ladies recommend to help us? What would you change or add to our strategy? For more info I am 24, irregular cycles that average between 28-33 days in length, I ovulate on cycle day 21 usually, I have a BMI of 48, and jumpy temperatures.

Thank you ladies! < 3

I've just experienced a chemical pregnancy as well :( from what you've said, if you ovulate on cd21 and have a cycle length of 28-33 days then your luteal phase is fairly short so this could be the issue. I'm wondering if it's the same with me though my cycles are also irregular so it's hard to say. I've started taking vitamin b6 as this has successful lengthened many women's luteal phases. All the best x

I have heard about the B6 for PCOS. The EPO is supposed to help regulate cycles so I thought it might help me to ovulate sooner by leveling out my cycle. I have some loose leaf yerba mate tea which has a ton of B vitamins. I'll have to look for B6. I suspected my shorter luteal phase might have something to do with it. Babydust to both of us :flower:

Thanks ThinkPositiv! I always try to find what will work best absorption wise. I used to take liquid vitamins for the same reason.

I also wonder if having as much extra fat as I do, if I will need extra progesterone to support a healthy pregnancy because of all the excess estrogen that fat stores. I have to ask my doctor about it. I used to have some of the cream lying around, but I'm worried about using it because my body would end up depending on it.

My confusion is guessing whether the chemicals are from the lining not being thick enough (flaxseed oil), ovulating late (EPO, B6), or not having the right hormonal balance to support the pregnancy (progesterone). Gonna have to try everything to hit all the bases I suppose.

I too wondered about the progesterone and was wondering about the cream but when i read that you have to keep taking it once you get pregnant else you will induce miscarriage that scared me to death! Think I will try the other options first and only go down that route if I have further chemicals.

I think the jury is out on progesterone cream..... Much obgyn said ask a room full of specialists if it helps or not and 50% will say yes and 50% no....... Hes recommended I take it next time I find out I'm pregnant.... Says cant hurt but have to take for first 12 weeks.

I've read lots on it and still have no definate opinion.

I tried progesterone a few years ago to see if it would help level out my moods and energy. It worked great for a month, but I think the estrogen got used to it and fired back because after a month of improved everything I had a bad breakdown and stopped taking it. I was taking it daily, unaware of how I should adjust how I use it with the natural changes in my cycles. So that could be to blame, but I still feel like my body got dependent on it fairly quickly even with the misuse.
