What hospitals are we all going to??

Birmingham Women's Hospital in Edgbaston?? anyone had any experience with this hospital??

I haven't given birth there but with my last pregnancy my son had a high nuchal measurement and I was referred to Birmingham Womens for specialist scans and advice, I can honestly say they are excellent and really looked after me.

In my opinion Birmingham Womens is the best hospital in the Midlands as it has everything there.

xx

University College Hospital in London. Would love to hear other ladies' experiences if anyone's used them before :)

Will be giving birth at Princess Anne maternity unit in bolton xx

I am going to the whittington in Archway London, its birthing suites are apparently pretty good although there are mixed reviews bout the labour ward(being old fashioned etc)

New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton.

Rather worried now after seeing comments earlier in this thread :nope:

Go and have a look, if you don't like it, you can transfer to Walsall Manor. If you are in New Cross catchment area, you can automatically choose Walsall Manor aswell.

I have a friend still going there, she knows the same stories I do, they came from mutual friends, yet she still decided to go there.

I was born there myself, as was my DF and most of my friends.

Good :) thats why Im there... I live 170 miles away but because I am high risk and have allsorts of complications on my side apparently this is the best place for me :)

I think it will be pembury in Maidstone for me, I have just moved to Kent from Essex and apparently we can go to Maidstone, medway or pembury! Maybe I ought to do a tour of them! X

Ermm you can't go to maidstone hun. Unless your admitted to l&d for an emergancy or complication they no longer have births there. I'm going to pembury and where I currently live its a 50 minute drive. I'm due in jan and it better not snow!!

Singleton Hospital, Swansea. Had my 2 other children there with no problems xx

I will be going to Aberdeen hospital. I have no choice where I go as I'm high risk :(

Im going to Rotherham general again, I would say that the staff are fab and the maternity section is a bit outdated but they looked after me last time so I'm going back

im going to poole maternity in dorset where i had my son, they were brill there, both me and my oh were born there as well! xx

Doncaster Royal. Had my little boy there and cant fault it at all xx

they will only put you where they think is best suitable.. Im from Wales but will be travelling 170 miles to Birmingham hospital to have my baby, I'd rather know that it's the safest place and not the closest place and have something go wrong :)
