Hello ladies so i've just asked this question on 2nd tri and got recommended to ask in here :D
just seen on another thread something about co-sleeping but what is it?? I've personally not heard of it i'm guessing its baby sleeping in the same bed as you? Is it easier for breastfeeding and bonding?? I'd be quite interested to know more about it to be honest. Thankyou xx

Not sure if its the right place to post this lol can you only co-sleep if your breastfeeding?? (I do plan to breastfeed anyway)

Hi hun - yes co sleeping is having your LO in with you. Some people do this during growth spurts when LO may be feeding more often, some do it in general.

My LO feeds frequently in the night and to make sure I get enough (some :haha:) rest we co-sleep.

I don't think it is just BFers who cosleep but I was told at our BF group that BFing mums are in rhythm with their babies feeds etc so they tend to sleep lighter/wake up at the same time as them, if not before

We were given this leaflet too https://www.babyfriendly.org.uk/pdfs/sharingbedleaflet.pdf

I love waking up to my LO smiling, so I will be sad when we move him out of the bed. We have the cot set up like a side-car arrangement (like a cosleeper cot) for a bit of extra space. The snuggles are lovely :cloud9:

Co-sleeping is having baby in bed with you.

We have co-slept since day 1. It's fabulous for bonding, breastfeeding and not to mention beneficial for Mum and Baby.

:)

I can only recommend co-sleeping, I didn't with my first but am doing it with my LO and love it, I bought a co-sleeper crib when I was pregnant (like this https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bedside-crib...Baby_Nursery_Furniture_ET&hash=item1c17180dc9) so she got her own space but is sleeping right next to me!

We also have a cot secured to our bed for extra space, having Oliver in our bed was fine until he got to about 6 weeks old and started taking up loads of room  I also saw it as a step towards him sleeping in a normal cot, though I love co-sleeping so much I can't even think about moving him into his own room :haha:

Having the co-sleeper type cot also means that the duvet, pillows etc have even less chance of getting anywhere near to Oliver.

I just adore co-sleeping, I never even considered it but his first night he wouldn't settle in his moses basket and on his second night my OH suggested co-sleeping. We made sure we did it safely, and I we never looked back!
