what is so horrible about this name?

I'm not sharing names this time around either, last time I did and got shot down in every direction! I think it's strange that other people think they really have input, family or not! I waited 3 days in the hospital before I finally told everyone the name because I wanted to have it official on the birth certificate and I couldn't decide on a middle heh, my family wasn't happy about the wait - but they shouldn't have gotten rid of all my name choices! Once he was officially named they had nothing bad to say because the name now belonged to a beautiful baby.. Im sure it will be the same for you, it is a very cute name

My brother is Oscar and it was an unusual name back then, people used to call him Oswald as they'd never heard of Oscar :haha:

It's much more popular now, I've come across a few over the years :) very characterful classic name IMO x

Ps. We won't share our name choices with anyone, we will just announce the name, then no one can be rude as its already chosen!! :haha:

This was one of our top choices for our son and we got similar reactions from parents. A lot of people said it was a dogs name for some reason. It's become a lot more popular though, so I think less people will think of it like that. I still love it!

nothings wrong with it. i got comments from my family on my daughters name Sienna. my dads never liked it. but we love it and its our baby. sometimes parents are just not up to date. people will always have an opinion whatever you pick. everybody has a few names they love
gunna be hard to please everyone. x

It makes me think of Oscar the Grouch. I've never actually known anyone named Oscar so it seems a little strange to me, but if you like it then go for it! I think it's a much more common name in the UK.
