Nothing yet :nope: I'm not sure what he'll get from us yet, but it wont cost more than £40-£60 ish xx

Far too much as I've been buying since feb!! I don't even wanna list it all as it sounds silly how over board I've gone! I havent paid full price for anything though...

We got lo the hide and squeak eggs for his birthday, and he loves them.

no idea...some thoughts were shopping cart and play groceries, little people farm set, baby doll (because she already plays with dolls), a new doll stroller as hers broke, not sure...

I've gone way overboard again this year too!

Felicia D - if you haven't chosen the easel yet, I really recommend the heavyweight red and blue plastic one that the Early Learning Centre do (it's their cheap one: the expensive wood-framed effort looks far too spindly to me). It's lovely and sturdy, reasonably priced (can't remember how much, but I've an idea I paid fifteen quid new) and has blackboard on one side and a magnetic board on the other for letters. Both sides have clips for holding drawing paper, but be warned: DON'T let them paint or use felt pens on the magnetic side, because if they run off the paper you'll never get the colour off the board again.

Oh, and I know what Father Christmas is bringing Rowan now: a plastic flute and a bell for her tricycle (it's a very little stocking).

Rainbow Aquadoodle
Vtech baby laptop
Chatterbox phone
And some books - the boy just loves his books!

My son is getting everything on his list but it is also from other people. My parents always spent £100 a child and we are spending more than that on him but looking on here at how much some kids are getting I feel tight. I think everything he is getting from us and other people will get used rather than stuck in a corner and never played with though (unlike some things we got him for his birthday).

So far we have;

*A cow hopper
*A ride on lamb
*A rubber car toy

We will also be getting;

*Quite a few books (he LOVES books)
*Wooden puzzles
*Toy food (he is getting a kitchen from someone else)
*My first scribbler
*Something else (we were also going to get a baby mp3 player but it gets bad reviews)

Great thread :) Ive read every reply and have got a list as long as my arm now, doh!
Ive got a book with some creative and cheap stocking filler ideas in, which I thought Id share. Here goes...
Cheap Stocking Fillers - mainly for LO's aged 1 year to 18 months
Stickers
Biscuit cutters
Bangles
Big beads and shoelaces for threading them on to
Bubbles (for blowing)
Party whistles (the ones that roll and unroll)
Old purses and handbags (charity shop?)
Coloured chalk for using on pavements
Spinning tops
Christmas crackers
Bouncy balls
Pegs (with a piece of string and some fabric/paper - Voila! Your LO can hang out the washing)
Nice keyring with old keys on it
Balloons
Broken mobile phone

Im going to have a few of these in LO's stocking...

On completely the other hand, LO's main present this year will be a piece of silver representing one of his 'loves' of the year. At his first Christmas (aged 7 months) it was a silver elephant, to represent his first book - Elmer. This year it will be a silver dog, as dog was one of his first words, and he loves dogs. Im thinking I might buy a silver something each year, and just hide it, and then on his 18th birthday present it to him in a display case, with a little book explaining what each piece signifies. I might also write about close contenders as well, to give him a meaningful keepsake.

Finally, another cool idea I think is this great height chart:

Actually both the above ideas might be better for birthday presents. Thinking as I type here :)

Feeling very festive now, ho, ho, ho! xx

Well my LO got an early Christmas present from his grandparents today. My dad made him his very own rocking burro!
