What is your toddlers favourite vegetable?

Noah will eat most veg, but only cooked, not raw. His absolute fave is sweetcorn espessialy corn on the cob

Lucys favourite is peas but she also loves sweetcorn and cucumber. Other veg she will eat if i spoon it into her! Like cauliflower, brocolli, potato and carrot, but she won't willingly pick them up on her own. She likes them mixed with something but not the individual veg on their own.

Lucas will eat anything really loves it steamed or roasted. One of his fav veggies are mushrooms. We do eat a lot of mushrooms and put them in most things and as he usually 'helps' with prepping the food he eats them raw aswell.

am i the only one with a really picky toddler who hates veggies???
Any suggestions on how to get him to eat veggies?

He only really eats onions, potatoes, and sweet potatoes when I roast them with olive oil and garlic

I've yet to find anything she doesn't eat.
But she loves peas.

:)

We have always encouraged Lucas to help us to prepare veg.
I do think it helps that his Grandad has an allotment and greenhouse so he knows where the vegetables come from, often picking them himself.
Also we have always just put vegetables on his plate, he does not always eat them, goes through phases of not eating certain ones but we have never made a big deal out of it just always offer and eat ourselves.

My son has his own garden and that encouraged him to eat more veg. My son is very picky and is followed by a dietician because he has low iron and calcium (due to not eating meat or dairy). He used to eat no veg also before we started the garden. Now that it is -30 out, we have a small indoor garden (lettuce, microgreens, sprouts and carrots) where he grows pea shoots (pea sprouts) and he will eat them. Growing them himself makes a huge difference!

Ruby wouldn't eat carrots until we went to a farm and dug some up ourselves!
This year ruby and I are growing broccoli, carrots and onions in the garden.

 Other really great garden veg for kids is pole beans and peas. You can grow them in containers (great for limited space), they sprout and grow fast, and are delicious raw. The peas are extra fun to shell and eat.

mine loves sugar peas in the pod. she eats them raw, theyre crunchie and sweet:)

Brian loves carrots but only since getting into watching bugs bunny, we managed to convince him that if bugs bunny loves them then so will he :)
He will eat broccli if we call it trees and parsnips, potatoes if they are roasted.
We can only get him to eat a few peas with a bribe of pudding but generaly he doesnt like things lke peas, sweetcorn or beans (anything thats loads of little things in his mouth)

R - broccoli

F - anything... Literally apart from green beans

Sweetcorn, carrots, green peas..

Boil chicken(shred unto pieces).
Get the chicken stock.
Cook rice with the chicken stock.
When the rice is almost cooked, I'll put the veggies in..
Sweetcorn, carrots, green peas.
Simmer until veggies are cooked.

DD loves this!

Ivy will eat green beans, peas, broccoli, raw red pepper and cucumber plain.

In sauces/curry/risotto/lasagne she will eat pretty much most vegetables, the only one I can think of that she won't tolerate is cauliflower!

I'm lucky, Alexia loves all veg. Her favs are raw carrot and cucumber for a snack, or steamed broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, peas. With the hot weather though, I make her cold zucchini slice with spinach, peas and carrot in it, or cold frittata slice with whatever veg we have in, usually mushrooms, spinach, peas, carrot, broccoli, capsicum, olives etc. She has salad on the side with these

asher loves two different dishes - i'll cook some peas and rice and mix them together, adding a chicken flavouring cube to the rice. he gobbles that right up!

i will also boil cauliflower and carrots and mix them up in a cheese sauce (just enough to coat the veggies) he really likes that too

Cucumber, cucumber, cucumber!!! Loves it!

She will eat pretty much all veggies I give her, although parsnip normally gets thrown on the floor pretty quickly.

For fusssy eaters I have found that if I do a small selection of veg then allow her to pick it out of the bowl herself (as opposed to just putting it infront of her) she is much more likely to eat more x

My two love all veg if its been boiled, Sunday dinner type. But for some reason won't eat veg in things like stir fry etc

Peas and Sweetcorn and he is just getting into carrots, again I put them in a microwave bag with a table spoon of water and steam them!!!x
