What (selfish) things are you looking forward to...

I have way less this time around, looking forward to starting running again but I've been swimming 1/3 times every week so have done exercise, I'm in the uk and you can eat lion stamped eggs soft boiled/runny so had loads and I don't drink much anyway since ds1!
Probably bladder control, though again it's never been the same... Oh I know, sex without having to stop and swig Gaviscon every ten minutes!

Why did I not know about lion stamped eggs????!! Xx

Just a quick article I found, loads more out there though :) easy to have runny eggs at home, I still question restaurants etc, for example a cafe I go to doesn't use lion eggs.

That's a good article. I've not been warned to avoid med rare steak, flash frozen sushi or soft boiled eggs, our midwives did a good job of dispelling myths about foods generally considered unsafe. Sushi raw is unsafe because of parasites, flash freezing it is the way you can safely eat it which is why the Asian nations, especially Japan do while pregnant. They don't understand our fear of fish while pregnant as it's very good for baby & a healthy food. Pork used to be fed other meat sources that wasn't ok for human consumption, 10+ years ago people didn't eat any red meat for this reason with any rare bits in it at all. These days pigs are fed dog food and don't have parasites.

But it's a very individual thing, I wouldn't have Coke, pop junk food or high sugar foods and feel that's far more damaging with all the studies showing how eating way more calories than we should increases risks to baby being obese. I also won't be feeding baby any soy products much less consuming them myself with the links to infertility.

I miss wine and laying on my back to watch tv, I also would like to get the runners on without knowing that 2 hours is my max at whatever I intend to do (hike in the mountains etc). I've missed out on a lot of fun mountain trips!

As DS is due 2 days before christmas Ive made DH promise that if hes arrived before christmas day then he will have brie, onion chutney and prosecco waiting for me haha.
Im most looking forward to snuggling a newborn again and seeing DS reaction when he meets his new brother for the first time buy I also cant wait to get my body back and get back into my old clothes. I gained just under a stone pre pregnancy just by overindulging so its back to weight watchers for me in January x

A red hot bath and a glass of wine! I'm easily pleased haha although I think one glass may actually get me drunk it's been that long x

Champagne! I've asked OH to have a nice bottle of Veuve in standby in December! He has been continuing to drink wine but said it feels indulgent to drink champagne on his own so he has missed it too! 😂😂

I'm looking forward to finally being able to get comfortable in any position I happen to be in.
Having energy.
Having a bath because being immersed at the moment makes me spew regardless of the water temperature.
No heart burn.
No morning sickness.
Lying on my back or stomach.
Being able to go on a rollercoaster.
And I'm sure there's many more but I can't think at the moment

Not feeling like crap all the time will be nice. And a glass of wine and medium rare steak for sure, but mostly time off work!

The biggest thing I'm looking forward to is just plain being comfortable again. I'm so uncomfortable right now (and I have a long ways to go yet) that I just wish I could take my whole belly off and just set it on the table for a while to get a break.

I miss sushi, wine, and frilly alcoholic drinks. I also miss soft cheeses.

Hot tubs (though I've been taking baths, my doctor said baths are fine, just not hot tubs?)

I miss being able to do normal everyday things, like pick stuff up off the floor and putting my socks on. I finally reached the point where I can't see to shave my junk so I took a whack at it flying blind...didn't end well.

Intimacy with my husband, he's too afraid to go from the front because the belly reminds him there's someone in there and he's afraid to hurt them. But I despise anything from the back, it's just plain painful to me. So we're sort of at a standstill.

And probably my most selfish thing - I miss my wardrobe! I miss being able to wear a pair of normal jeans like a normal person. I really like a lot of my sweaters and outfits, and now I don't fit into most of them. And I miss having a coat that I can zip up over my belly! It's getting cold here in MN!

I may only be 16 weeks along, but holy crap I have SO MANY cravings that I know I'll be partaking in as soon as baby is out!

SUSHI!!!! I plan on eating so much at the local sushi/hibachi buffet that they kick me out
Coffee, coffee, and more coffee. All the fun holiday lattes will be bye bye, but still!
Soft cheeses... Dear Lord how badly I want a Greek salad loaded with Feta!
Medium Rare steak!
Seafood!!!! Above and beyond sushi, I love scallops, swordfish, grouper, wahoo, tarpon... You get the idea.
Clothes that fit, because yes.
Lack of owie labia, because holy crap the pain! They want to fall off!
SEX, because I'm on pelvic rest due to a low lying placenta and no sex has SUCKED and WILL suck until it either clears up or I pop.

Getting my body back!
being able to sleep on my belly again
no more nasty discharge!!
being comfortable in general and able to bend over, wear fancy shoes, right now im only comfortable in tennis shoes!
wear my normal clothes again!
but this being my last pregnancy, I am trying to enjoy every minute and every kick i feel.

Thought of another one, I want to be able to have a McDonald's mc flurry!! And a McDonald's milkshake too in fact lol

Champagne and vino - I know DH has got me a bottle of Dom Perignon as a pushing out present, I can't wait to have expressed enough milk to have a night off BF'ing to drink it!!
Sleeping on my belly again - although I couldn't do this with BF'ing last time so that may still be months off, just couldn't get as comfy with bigger milkie boobies!
Pate, toast and chutney. Omnomnom.
A medium cooked steak.
Being able to play properly with DD - like sit on the floor with ease and get back up.
Mr Whippy Icecream - I'm finding one even in October!!
No longer being fat (hopefully!).
Being able to cycle again x

I have been craving Moscato wine throughout this pregnancy.. I'd love a big glass! Also looking forward to being able to walk without feeling like fainting... No more deathly lower back pain.. the normal back pain is acceptable haha.. Losing some weight for sure, I started at a size 16 and definitely think I'm gonna be an 18 when this boy is out :/

We have been having a lot of sex, and it's actually been great, though I can't wait until this crazy discharge is gone...I'm terrified of sex after the pregnancy...the thought of doing all of this again soon after is NOT in my plans!! Birth control or not, I'm scared!

Being able to sleep on my back
Roll over without having to do it in stages
Not have leg cramps through the night
Wearing normal jeans
Normal tea/coffee (have had to give up all caffeine due to restless legs)
Sex

Just being able to jump out of bed in the morning rather than languishing like a giant groaning sea lion.

laying on my stomach
picking up DS
rolling over at night without getting out of breath
going out to eat & getting a fancy alcoholic drink (I turned 21 [the legal drinking age here] shortly after finding out about this pregnancy!)
:D

Champagne! I've asked OH to have a nice bottle of Veuve in standby in December! He has been continuing to drink wine but said it feels indulgent to drink champagne on his own so he has missed it too! 😂😂

Me too!! We smuggled a bottle of veuve into the hospital with DS, haha it was so fun sipping it sneakily out of plastic cups! 😂

Yessssss! My sea mammal of choice is a manatee, but yes! This is totally how I feel.

Enjoying wine again

Not having a sore back by the end of every single day

Being able to walk around and do housework or exercise without feeling a heaviness between my legs

No more heart burn

No more constipation
