What shoes do you recommend?

We just got a pair from Stride rite and they were wonderful. They measured his foot not only for length but width. If you can find a coupon or something or wait for a sale, I would give it a try. My lo def walks better in his Stride rite's as opposed to the babies r us shoes that we got last time.

Got a great Stride Rite deal today! $8!! 60% off clearance, but I didn't know it was a clearance item until I went to pay. :happydance: (This was at an outlet store though)

Thanks ladies! I did get my son 2 pairs from Stride Rite. Seems to be walking just great. They did put him in a wide shoe which I didn't even think his feet were wide. Also, they sized him into a 6.5. His other shoes he has are size 5. Maybe because of different brands?

Yes, I've noticed big differences in shoe sizes depending on brand. Glad you found 2 pairs that fit him well, though:flower:

Start rite. I never buy in store though- I go and get the kids measured and then look on eBay. I'm not a Clark's hater but again I wouldn't pay full price- you can get some unusual sizes hardly worn/new for a couple of pounds on eBay.

I get Start-rite usually, purely because I despise only having a choice between trainers covered in 'boy' things or pink shoes at Clarks. Start-rite at least have some non-tacky gender neutral options. But at the moment he has some shoes by a brand called Petito which fit him wonderfully.
