What should I expect 2nd time around?

With my first son, he was 12day's late, i had my waters broken for me, and 3sweeps to try and bring on my labour naturally, i had to be induced at 5cm dialated (after being in the birthing pool for 5hours, and coming out at 5cm which is what i went into it at ) then after trying to push him out for 3hours i had to have what i like to call a cut and pull! (vontousse style)
They say that it gets easier and faster after your first, but does this still count when the first was induced? I just dont feel like my first labour was a very natural one with all the assistance i had, and im just not sure what i should be expecting this time around?
Anyone else been in a similar situation?

My daughter was 11 days late, and I had two sweeps to try and get things moving, but I came on naturally the day before I was due to be induced. I had a 7 1/2 hour labour with her.

My son, I went into labour on his due date, with no sweeps etc. Everything moved VERY quickly, and I had given birth to him after about 4-4 1/2 hours.

I don't think there's anything you can rule out with any birth, regardless of whether it's second or not. They tend to say that the second, third etc, do come faster, but that's not true for some women. Just take it as it comes

Im wondering the same, With my son i was 13days overdue, I got induced, Waters were broken for me etc and im really hoping to go into labour naturally this time, Not sure what the chances of it happening are though

my eldest was 13 days overdue we escaped induction by a day , really really long labour an ventouse assisted birth, second i went into labour 10days over was booked for induction that evening and got the gel since my labour was going slow it sped things up and he was out less than 8 hrs later with no help

with my first i went into early labour day before i was due.....after a very long 13 days of nothing happening i was then induced by them breaking my waters. 15 mins later contractions started. i had a 7 hour labour and a horrible mw who cut me when it wasnt needed.

i was really worried about my second labour.

with my second i went into labour 4 days overdue at night. contractions started at 5 min apart and corey was born 4 hours later

so my labours where nothing alike

1st labour -
induced @ 40+7, 15 hours, with pethedine, gas and air, and 3 epidurals. Stage 2 lasted just over an hour

2nd labour -
Induced @ 40+14, 5 hours, only gas and air, Stage 2 lasting just 10 mins

I was so much happier with my 2nd birth, it was exactly what I wanted it to be. Every one is different hun - heres wishing you get exactly what you want!
